Re: V. small wave grovellers
http://tomwegenersurfboards.com/sites/default/files/styles/uc_product_full/public/albacore_blue.png This is my currentl v. small wave groveller that I picked up cheap as after getting sick to death of Sydney summer crowds. Foamy too, so I can surf in the flags in the summer in the best peak of the ...

sure Dane s a bit chubby but he oozes talent.....more than enough to obliterate 2 waves in 25 mins at snapper.
Maybe he needs to get back on his twin finners & mentally journey back to 2009

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I picked em up for a bargain about 4 years ago but don't have a 2+1 to stick em in, I tried em in a firewire sweet potato with no other fins for a while, almost like a finless. Used them in the backs of quads with mixed results. I was hoping to get a 2+1 or a 4+1 in the next 12 months but I'm now s...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
With due respect to all, this wave count thing has me a little baffled. How do you up your wave count by having an easier paddling board? Maybe it's my location talking as I rarely surf crowded waves. Even still, regardless of how many in the water, 90% is about position. I get that if I was surfin...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I think I have to get one now. Well not now , now, but one day. I already have some of those FCS bonzer fins too. Aren't they awesome fins! I put a set of the large fcs bonzer fins into a normal 2+1 set up with a fairly upright 6.5" shapers centre fin, they really lit that board up. I recommend the...

Steve, would a 7" octafish midlength cover the small v bank winter peelers and point waves that u described in the other thread or would the egg be better in your opinion?steve shearer wrote:thats what I heard too Tootr.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
yeah, actually. If I was gonna surf the alley, i'd do it on a mid length. A little more of a defined nose with some added lift, would be ideal. Something like this would be supreme. I nearly bought it off Dave before he left for Bali ... It's a bit of a regret tbh ... http://img404.imageshack.us/im...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
As this is turning into a midlength love in, Cuttlefish has a beautiful 7'6 vquad from woosley surfboards. I ve seen it in action & it flies, 1 am tempted to get a 7" myself for a bit of point crowd control & those beautiful small winter peelers http://www.woosleysurfboards.com/orders.html

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards
Thanks for bringing this thread back to life hatchnam. I ve been thinking of getting a performance twin fin fish for a while. I love my quads but feel like mixing it up a little. So far I ve been checking out Gary McNeil s boards but mackie's side cut fish looks interesting, JD's boards look amazing...

Re: Thruster as a twinfin
I never really took to MR twin fins but like the AMT robbers which you can get shipped over from true Ames in fcs & futures. I wouldn't bother with the finger centre fin, it's never worked for me. It's a fun experiment & certainly works on some boards in small waves. http://trueames.com/shop/channel...
