Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yeah, aj, happy for you to keep experimenting. Also have a larger set of rears if you'd like to give them a go. I never tried buddy's suggestion, but found the same as you. On rail ok, but transition was never good for me on the V4. Didn't fcuk around too much because it was a great thruster. Quad w...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

4 fins, aj? Was asked about the work order today. Planner wants it closed out. Told her there's been unforeseeable delays, so you still have time in ✋

Re: J-Bay 2018

Not totally convinced re the double/ triple bottom turn thruster rule. Wilko is one of the best at not doing it routinely. Somehow, it's become a super high-quality level aspect of surfing which might relate more to other design aspects than to the single factor of them being thrusters. How many rea...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I just found tuflite boards tended to be a bit more rash inducing. Oh, fcuk, here I am procrastinating again How so? You lie down on wax when you paddle. I'm all for education, for in this climate, I'm very rarely without some rubber. Medium to long term I think of moving to thermally friendlier wa...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Re Nick's post ^^; and the fin plugs push through the deck. Might still have pop forward, but the back end is gunna kill that board anyway. Sad end to one of my all time magics - a Maurice Cole ATM

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I think it may have been more sinister. It was brought to my attention 2 summers back that they were in deep shit over it. I'd been using the black sport 50+ for years and it was never 50+ They did change the formula apparently and I'd notices it was more slippery than the old stuff so not anymore a...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Well, aj, unless they've changed it you should be considering another product. Banana boat SPF 50+ is/was not as effective as stated. I'd expect your surfboards will soon be requiring medical attention

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I can only imagine. That he has experience with painted boards is astounding enough. That he reckons it causes rash is making my mind boggle like it never has. Must put the paint on top of the wax

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Guy at work took possession of a custom 6'3" (?) protow a couple of weeks ago. He's a charger and tows in on a MC. Paddles big guns too. Instant gel with the PT. Reckons it's his go to for paddling anything with push from 3-8 ft. Bigger if he doesn't need the paddle power of a gun

Re: Where did you surf today ?

You have my medium term future sorted. If only dealing with welfare were still as care-free as it once was Yes, croissy, the good old days, when you could suck the public tit for a few years, decide it's time to get ahead, get to work for a year or so and buy a fcuken house. And when I join Cranked,...

Yeah cause the DPI have really got the shark issue sorted. I remember Shearer speaking to Vic Pedomore and he had no idea from what I can recall.
