Re: Waterproof options when surfing with stitches

There are some very good sticky dressings around. If the hospital has a shop selling med stuff, should be there. Or try pharmacy. If you can, talk to a nurse. If you know one well enough, he/she might be able to source you a freeby

Re: sharks holidaying in NSW

Got a bit scarey last night freediving near where the container ships come in, those cnuts like to throw scraps overboard and it seems logical they'd have a following. Not just scraps. The pricks can also throw non putrescible stuff too. Have to be certain distance from coast, but how they can at a...

Dr K swore by a reference which I promptly forgot, that the dusk thingo is a myth Myth might be related to fact that we're not all super-keen 1st lighters. Most people in water after dawn & before dusk. Next to all that the whole Shark Terror thing is just spittle in the wind of cheap media bs. Yes...

Re: sharks holidaying in NSW

I once got talking with three old fishos at Collaroy who said that if surfers knew how many sharks the fishos see off Long Reef, all the time, and how big they are, then the lineups would be empty between Narrabeen and Nth Head I've done a few low-level flights from Fraser Island down to about Ball...

Re: sharks holidaying in NSW

I'm convinced there are sharks close to you every time you surf. Pretty much can't see them unless directly underneath you or they surface. Only questions are; What type? How big? Is it hungry? My reasoning is that several years ago I went out on a cray boat from Geraldton. As the pots were retrieve...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Nice morning surf at 13th beach the extra size kept the blow ins away i think. Far king people everywhere on the surf coast today, with a 40 degree day you expect no less. Thought i would have a squiz at Point Impossible on the low tide and to my astonishment scored some ripping 3-4 footers with on...

Re: Surfboard design & eye injuries

Vicco shaper, Ken Reimers lost an eye at Bells back in the 80s. Flicked board because of drop in. I had a fin chop through a steamer into my forearm when 16 yo. Heaps stitches and herniated muscle. Freaks people out when I pop it. There's pointy noses and there's pointy noses. 6'4'' Marice Cole I st...

Pretty good where I am. The Morn Pen used to be pretty hot . Grooter/Hatchman would know current state. Ever since wetties have had a key stash, I've used it. Just get a door key cut out of metal. Have a B'bong 3/2 and the loop is behind the shoulder. RipC 4/3 has it zipped into leg. Much better
