Re: Show us your guns!

I find Roys humour quite amusing , but I have noticed that it is more about him than the boards, please put the board in the foreground, I'm not interested what you look like just your board. :)

Re: Show us your guns!

bluff 017a.jpg Cheers crustt, im 20 years younger and a bit lighter, but those dims sound good to me for overhead and hollow haha. Let us know how they go mate. 8'0" went great, specially on the day pictured. Quads worked good in this wave as I was able to take off on angle and go, some of the best...

Re: Resting heart rate

I've spent quite a bit of time hooked up to heart monitors, my resting heart rate is 48-50. Being in hospital for over a week and not allowed to do a thing, out of boredom I tried to see how slow I could get my heart beat, got it down to 36.

Re: Broken Board. Is it forever rooted?????

The $150 I pay is just to get it repaired with a white spray to make it look decent, that's all you want a functional repair so you have a board to surf.

Re: Broken Board. Is it forever rooted?????

Course it's worth fixing, standard price is around $150 in Torquay, go to a glassing factory, get it done by someone that has been doing it forever. I've had a few boards put back together over the years, sure there not the same, but there still good in a different way , I reckon my 8'4" went better...

Re: jet bottom surfboards

i saw a kook out on a jet bottom surfboard the other day and again this afternoon.... not as in channel jets, as in jet ski jets!! http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/562078_245420422233861_1802411781_n.jpg When I first looked at that pic, I thought that was a propeller on the back of hi...

Re: Show us your guns!

Sick looking boards guys. I'm wondering what happens when you get caught inside on a big day with a board with so much volume? (I admit I am a big girls blouse and have never surfed in anything over 6-8 feet.) I'm guessing the benefits of the extra paddle power to get onto waves, and to paddle arou...

Re: Show us your guns!

No, not really, I'm 53 years old with a dodgy ticker. So I haven't got the strength in my arms anymore and I weigh over 90kg. When I first put these board under my arm , I freaked at the feeling of volume in them and the weight, but as soon as I surfed them all my doubts were gone, in the waves they...

Re: Show us your guns!

Funny thing about Brewers, I was in Hawaii in 86 and my 2 mates got some boards made by Owl Chapman but they both ended up with Brewer labels on them, I'll have to have a look one day to see if Owl signed it, it's still up in the roof of his shed.

Re: BESSSSST WAVE Of ya lifes

The best one is the next one, then next best one is the last one. The last wave I rode last week was the best barrel I have had for a couple of years or that I can remember anyway :? , I can remember waves I have surfed from 30+ years ago, they were that good and every year they get better and bette...

Re: Single fin shortboards

Kayu, why do you need to have a single to have volume? You can have volume in a thruster or any board. I can't understand why so many surfers think," single fin, must have thick chunky rails with small fin set as near to the back of the (70's :D )tail as possible". Knowledge gained from the past is ...

Re: Alternative board bag?

I make covers and I have a ten foot log cover that I would like to get rid of, it was a custom that I made a tad tight it would fit a board with a girth of no more than 50 inches, the zip goes 2 foot past the middle. If your interested get in touch via http://www.crustt.com.au
