Re: Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?

......almost as good as watching porn. Yes, but wouldn't you rather be doing it yourself instead of seeing someone else having all the fun :?: Paying to watch others surf, unless it's in waves way beyond your own ability, is like going to a restaurant, paying for a good meal then watching...

Re: People are soooo deluded they make me sick !!!!

Now can we please talk about the serious issue of legrope drag? I think I need a thinner legrope, this current one is slowing me down. That's something that has been keeping me awake at night for awhile now, should I get a longer thinner rope or a shorter thicker one, which one drags less? Start a ...

Re: People are soooo deluded they make me sick !!!!

I surf 4 finners and only swap the back fins, which make a huge difference using different size fins with differnt angles , I can really notice the difference between the 2 and 4 degrees , but the exact same template fin. Having said that, At Easter I lost a front fin , I am not sure how many waves ...

Re: People are soooo deluded they make me sick !!!!

Doesn't matter how deluded you are, if your happy whats so wrong with being deluded. There is a guy where I live everyone just shakes there heads when he raves how good the waves were, even though everyone else out there thought it was crap. Until one day we realized we were the ones that were missi...

Re: Future fins

Futures seem pretty cheap, though I buy them when I get the boards, $120 each for both the blue hand shaped ones and the stretch fins. I like the plastic ones too, there dirt cheap.

Re: Future fins

Got these fins with my new board, old school fiberglass , done by hand. Made by the guy in Santa Barbara that invented futures, apparently he does not have anything more do with futures. Nice clean fins.

Re: Buying land

Look up cosco on the net, go directly to them, I bought my container from the trading post. I went to cosco in melb. picked the container out to be delivered , got offered a 40 ft for the same price, said if I wanted another one come and see him will be much cheaper as I was paying an agent for one ...

Re: Buying land

Hey digger, someone said to put a roof over the container, good idea. A better one if you can afford another container ,place them 3 to 4 m. apart and put a roof over the lot, shaping bay, storage , undercover parking/workspace. Of course put the roof on after the building inspector has signed off :...

Re: Quad Guns

I may have used the wrong word, wouldn't rocker have to be different between a quad and a single? That's where I thought there would be a compromise.

Re: Quad Guns

Dave, my boards don't go up to that size and I don't want them too, for my own safety. I'm just wondering having a board with boxes so you can have both quad and single, isn't it a bit of a compromise as the curve of the board would be different for a single apposed to a quad, it' has to be tweeked ...

Re: Quad Guns

Just got a 7'6 and 8'0" and for the last 3 and 1/2 years I've had a 7'3' a 7'9" and 8'4". I have not ridden anything but quads in that time, alot of people think they out run waves, but you can stall them, I like small fins in the rear to loosen it up. The waves I surf don't want to let you in so i...

Re: Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?

Do anyone else find it boring to watch? Ha ha I bet you wouldn't find it boring if you were watching yourself. I hate watching myself surfing, I'd much rather live in the fantasy world that my surfing looks as good as it actually feels at the time, my awkward style of surfing is best hidden in the ...

Re: Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?

It shits all over watching Cricket, Cycling, Cricket, golf, cricket, AFL - unless your team is playing, Cricket, two scrub NRL teams fumbling a ball in the rain and cricket. Even in bad waves it's better then the above mentioned. The only one of those I like watching is AFL, any team as long as it'...

Does anyone else find watching surfing boring?

Over the years I have tried watching surfing contests, live and of late on the computer and it's just plain boring. The only time I really enjoy watching is whilst I am paddling back out.
