BTW, I never wear lyrcra. I've got a pair of really light-weight boardies and singlet. Period! Lycra really serves no purpose as far I'm concered, other than looking the part. Gotta disagree with ya there Salty. I wear full lycra gear. Not cause it looks good. The chamioux padding in the shorts sto...

Meaty, I been road cycling for about 10 years on the Northern Beaches. Never been hit, and never really came close. So don't let that put you off. As Natho said, just get a good helmet in case. Don't skimp on that. It's great exercise for surfing (from an aerobic point of view). And doesn't fark ya ...

Yep, the nets are just meant to mess up their electrical field I believe so they don't need to be from surface to sand. No, ba, it's just meant to catch 'em. The nets do not interfere with the sharks' electrical field. They don't need to be from surface to sand because of the way in which sharks ap...

Yep, the nets are just meant to mess up their electrical field I believe so they don't need to be from surface to sand. And yes, they are not on every beach on every day. I guess if the nets were left there, shellfish, weed etc would start colonising and form like a mini reef. I think that's what th...

Page 7. They said it was dead when they pulled it up so they disposed of it "at sea". How many do the find that don't make it to the paper.

Me thinks plenty.

And a 2.3m great white pulled dead from the nets at Palmie during the week according to the Manly Daily today.

Might keep the crowds down if this keeps happening.

Don't forget to rock up late for your heat and, if you can, spew up in the carpark in front of the other competitors.

Its a dead set heat winner.

Chilli 6'2"
Aloha 6'3"
Warner 6'4"
and 9'1" Barry Bennett for the 1 footers.

Happy with the Chilli and Warner. Those guys know what they are doing. The Chilli is probably the best board I have had over 25 years of surfing.

Hers is a mini-mal and I paid $400 brand new (I know the guys at the surf shop). $300 seems pretty good for a 9'2". Jump on the net and see if you can get some prices for new ones. That'll give you an idea.
