Re: Shearer. Boo. Come in here

I did some of the early work for that project. Depends how they do it. If they dump it evenly along the coast then no, if it is uneven then hells yes. It's a temporary sand plug, but on a much larger scale than the experiment at Cronulla. The plan we worked on had them creating a series of mini sand...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I've seen a channel islands board snap when a small dog farted one suburb over.

Great shapes, terrible glassing.

Re: Fiji Pro Cloudbreak 2017

For a final in Fiji? It should be a hands free backhand drop into 8ft double spitting barrels with a rodeo clown on the end section, ditching the board mid air to land on the shells of 2 loggerhead turtles and Waterski into the sunset while wearing only a frangipani lei wrapped around your cock I s...

Re: Fiji Pro Cloudbreak 2017

It was odd to see Kelly concentrate while commentating for once.

Are they gonna finish it today? Pretty underwhelming waves (based on my unrealistically high expectations, if happily surf them myself)

Don't play coy with me Carroll.
You telling me you don't know what pace you're doing based on the feel of the stroke?

You aren't interested, but you noticed.

Re: swimming/paddling/misc water sports.

so we seem to be recording our training sessions, what the hell! why not. Last night did ski sprints in flat water with the U17s and u19s: 15s max/30s rest/45s max/30s rest/1min max/30sec rest/1min30 max/4min slow recovery, four times through. Superchick did it on a board. She is now paddling a 12'...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Iggy have you ever in your life used a solitary adjective to describe the surf?

It's always 'shifty sectiony' or 'sucky semi-closeout' or 'fat walled up lines'.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I actually brought a fun midlength from SoCal to Sydney and it was a total dog.
My wife brought one that was a dog over there and it was a hoot in the sort of shifty semi-closeout waves that get Iggy all moist.

I was watching that one and thought he had a GoPro in his teeth, and was very happy to see he just had a bushranger beard

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Just to clarify, when a receiver is pinged, the tag number of said fish is recognised by the receiver and recorded? (But it ain't being disclosed to date) That's the whole point of a tagging program, otherwise you can't tell if you're seeing the same shark 100 times or 100 different sharks once eac...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

One would think a critical piece of information what shark # is pinging a receiver. I contacted Dorsal twice, they said the DPI was working on a "new system" but they too are getting little information from the DPI (their words) Forget about a reply from the DPI. My understanding is the DPI does po...

Qld decided to keep the nets up this winter/whale season.
I think that's the first time since 2008? Braithwaite would know.
No Boo, QLD has always deployed the nets and drumlines year round.
Yeah, I don't really know why I wrote that. Mixed up a bunch of other dates I was working on.
