Back in my day, a six foot wave stayed a six foot wave until the bitter end. That's when waves had gumption and resilience. These soft-cock millennial waves break at six foot and immediately start diminishing until they're all frightened and small by the time they get to the sand.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Okaaay! I started surfing (on boards) in 1962. In 1970 I stopped and got into motor sport. In those 8 years I surfed mostly from Snapper to Currumbin Alley. With a few visits south as far as Port Hacking. As it says in my sig. Six feet was six feet. At the takeoff point. Irrelevant how small it got ...

Just had another crack and got a temporary password and was able to log in. Yeah. Only Don sees those messages and then only every couple of months. I can f...

people die in sporting events all the time.
professionals.
Yes they do but "duty of care" comes into it these days.
Look at the HIA rule in NRL.
And ongoing upgrades of safety features in F1 and all levels of motor sport.

G'day Trev, yeah I gathered that from some of your earlier posts. You're out west and up in Canada?
Looks like a dangerous hurricane is heading to Florida, glad I've already got the boat delivered down there.
Yeah. Mississauga (Toronto), and a few days in Halifax next week.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Oh that’s our fine brother iggy, Lucky Al. I wheel it out from time to time when his rhetoric gets a bit spicy just to remind him how bang average he is IMHO Iggs did fine on that wave's limited options. He did. Hey offy. I'm (sort of) in your neck of the woods again. Well the same continent anyway.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Lot of angry blokes in the water today. One bloke called me a cnut because he wasnt sure which way he should paddle, as he paddled directly towards the peak, to get out of my way when i was paddling for a wave. Lots of shouting over various blatant drop ins. Good banks though. Ah yes, cannot wait u...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Well I`d actually forgotten I was on here . Checking the forecasts led me back here . I`m heading down to Bendalong Thursday night and if it gets as big as they say I`ll be watching as my biggest board is 6'0 . Hopefully can find somewhere a little sheltered from the swell so I can at least get wet...

I think you should team up!

shearer/loofy men's stock prone team. Lightning in a bottle. Actually because it'd be your first time, you can have three people in a team. Hatchnam? Godsavethequeen? TardG????

I'd be on the plane home before you cnuts finished.
Hey.

Leave me out of this.
