My Octafish works great in 2 foot peelers. But I do think for the design to work properly it needs to 'get up to speed". If it's zippy little 2 footers, great. If it's slow and weak and fat 2 footers I have more fun on other boards that work better at slower speeds. And seconded on the Mini-Merk. I ...

I am. They are heavy and thin and glide through the water really nicely.

As well as being indestructible.

But I only like the 9'0" with the chined rail and double concave. Run with a proper single fin.

Bribie occupies the same place in my mind as inland Australia did for Patrick White or the Meditteranean sea did for Homer. It's a physical and psychological reality of mythic dimensions.

I think soft boards are outrageously over priced. Get them second hand on gumtree or buy swap and sell sites. Or look at second hand pawn shops or the dump.

Only day trippers we "broke into" were the Brisso tourist gals who flocked to the Island on holidays.
