Re: Concepts and Principles of Surfing

Hot tip Caveman, Something i've been working on a lot lately. It's not much of a problem for me on longboards, but i've been recently surfing short boards more often (webber mini fish and firewire dominator). I noticed a mate of mine getting up a bit late one surf and when i sledged him for it, he's...

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

Took my 6'2 Firewire Dominator out this morning with MR-TX fronts and the S2 rears that i got off Pridmore the other day... I haven't been to keen on this board since I bought it a few months ago, but today it all went really well. It never felt like it was going to slide out like it did with SF4's,...

I surfed at Elouera today just as the onshore kicked in, it was just me and about 100,000,000,000 purple jelly fish....

Fins turned up yesterday arvo, got them out of the letterbox this morning. They look like they'll do the trick. Thanks for the stickers. Can you put some waves in the envelope too next time  Your business card's on the fridge, so I like your chances next time i decided to treat myself to a new...

Re: Evolution 1.1 Quad fins for Large thruster set

Thanks for the heads up Ric. The MR's are only for my epoxy boards so i'm hoping the extra strength will help that. I'm not really good enough to be ripping turns that hard yet anyway, so i'm thinking it shouldn't be much of an issue. I'll come and see you it becomes one though, we all know how much...

Well fuschia me... when's your mate going to get his period? Are you sure he's not a bitch? Next thing you know he'll be out getting lyposuction on his fat arse, then getting a face lift... Hey while he's there he may aswell see if they have some fake tits on special... This kinda shit is why the go...

Re: Evolution 1.1 Quad fins for Large thruster set

sounds like heaps of fun. I had a look at those fins... the side fins have the cant, and the centre are straight... is that what you were saying was causing the humming? either way, if you decide you'd like to keep them, go for it, not really too fussed with what you send back. I've got the followin...

Fins were put in the mail this morning Mark so you should have them in the next couple of days.

there's a prepaid self-addressed envelope in there too for your convenience.

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

I'm with you Davros... Try as many boards as you can... I would hate to be one of those guys that just stay on the one board. The conditions vary at my local beachy so why shouldn't my boards. But i'm not going to argue with people in that mindset... Just means more waves for me. Just picked up a se...

What shits me...? Tangents... And the junkies that would nick our stuff in winter from Cronulla Point when we'd done the 2hour train ride as kids with our big kookie boogie backpacks. 5 bucks for the whole day... pensioner ticket from holworthy station and plain bread and milk from the old chinese b...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

A bit late i know .... How good was the pulse on Thursday? Threw the 9'0 and 6'0 Twinnie into the boot after a hot tip from a bloke in a surfshop  Southern Sydney beach break looked about waist high from the carpark so i opted for the Mal... When i got out there it picked up a few feet and i e...

Evolution 1.1 Quad fins for Large thruster set

Have a set of EVO 1.1 Quad fins that are a bit too small for me...

Would be keen to swap them for a set of M7 or fins or maybe some MR Twins with a trailer

I'm in Cronulla, but can meet for swap as far north as Narrabeen or as far south as Woollongong. Will post.

PM me if you're keen

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

I bought my SF4 Glassflex fins from a guy on ebay... Had only read about how good they were and had no idea as to what the specs were. I was just on the FCS site and noticed that the rear fins are supposed to be smaller than the fronts fins. The new ones have "stretch" written down the sides, so i'm...

Re: How much does it cost to make you're own board?

Think i might go with the guy on the central coast anyway...

Even if it's a lemon... the experience would be fun... and i'd probably appreciate my other boards alot more after i realise how much went into making them.
