Just took the bat for a quick surf at Cronulla Point. Pretty shit conditions... fat and shoulder high take offs. Only really got one wave to myself so hard to say what i think of it... Was pretty stoked though. It was the shortest board i've ever paddled out, and i got up first go with no dramas. Ju...

Sold the mal.

Got a nice price for it.

I'm still on the look out for a Powerglide.

Took a Surftech McTavish 9'1" for a test drive yesterday. Had a ball.

Looking at making a purchase really soon.

Les Purcell 9'6''single fin for a Miller Powerglide

Les Purcell 9'6'' single-fin.
I've tried to find some details on the board but it's almost impossible, as Les stopped shaping in 1995.
I can email photos after Tuesday 21st Oct.
Board's watertight, with the usual compressions.
Board's too long for my liking.

I really can't wipe that smile off my face. It's been there since that photo was taken on saturday... my cheeks are starting to get a little sore. I'm pretty stoked there's no waves at the moment... I thought it would be the other way around! Hopefully there's a wave around on Sunday arvo. there'll ...

Got my new board

Here's some pics of my new board. 6'8'' x 21'' x 2 3/4'' FCS M7 fins Can't surf it till saturday... it's going to be a long week. It's been an absolute pleasure dealing with Grant Miller from start to finish. Can't speak highly enough of the man's professionalism. http://i322.photobucket.com/albums/...

cheers

thanks for your input guys.

i've got a friend that's an airbrush artist... i might just get her to paint me a wave of something like that on the bottom and leave the deck white just to be in the safe side.

Custom Paint job.

I'm getting a 6'8" Miller Waterskate shaped for me, and as it's my first custom board, I want to get a different paint job on it. At this stage i'm thinking about having it all black with a white pinstrip alround, and navy blue Miller signs on the deck. What do you reckon... does all black look...

The anxious wait....

Went and saw Grant Miller today and ordered a 6'8" x 21 x 2 3/4 Waterskate today.... i'm thinking this is going to be the longest 3-4 weeks of my life.

Can't decide on whether to get a custom paint job, or just go the traditional clear look....

realsurfers, i've just started surfing after bodyboarding for 13years (finally seen the light) and have been surfing on a 7'10" Inner Circle mini-mal. i had some dramas with my board (surprise surprise) and while it was in the shop getting fixed i impulse bought a 6'10" x 20 x 2 7/8 fibreg...
