Friend of mine who is ex federal police, who while there was mostly involved investigating drug trafficking and such remarked at the time that they (Aus federal police) knew for a while that the corby family were into some suss stuff, they just didn't have the evidence to convict.... At the time of...

Intersesting about the carbon fibre. Although when it breaks doesn't it shatter leaving rather sharp shards everywhere? May be an issue for you and anyone else if the board gets crunched on a reef or in heavy surf(although I know it is pretty strong stuff so such situations may be pretty rare) CF h...

It's not the cams - its the increasing accuracy of the forecasts. A lot of guys can swing a flexy with a weeks notice. Any quality break within an hour and a half of population centres is copping crowds at first light! when it's forecast to be good. When the odds of scoring good waves go up, people ...

Hayden's working on a sandwich construction with carbon fibre reinforced rails. Theory's a bit Firewirey -- like, put the tough flex controller along the rail instead of down the middle -- but the carbon layers are assembled quite differently to the FW balsa rail. Yeah that might work, although car...

Greg's the man alright - knows the technology and knows how to explain it.

I saw in an ad that Hayden is doing eps and high density SAN (corecell) boards - does anyone know anything about these? Is he doing perimeter stringers eg Firewire or the full rail wrap eg Surftech?

Dae,
One thing that I've found that shortens the kook cycle is yoga.

Last time I checked, marine regulations said you weren't allowed to bring those things within 50 metres of people in the water ie paddle surfers. If you're really pissed off make a complaint.

It's fair enough though............the grommets/young adults can't get enough of all that pro scene related stuff I find this aspect of surfmags a bit disturbing - the mags are turning pro-surfers into celebrities so advertisers can exploit the celebrity fetish the general population seems to have....

So gentlemen, how was it :?: And is Tuesday still looking like its going to be on  Well I blew it. Checked the Port Phillip bouy before dawn looked too small for 13th and a little on the big side for Wooli so I opted for PI, thinking I could surf the point if it was maxed at Wooli. Anyway ...

where you normally surf? east/ west?
Both. I'm in Melbourne - usually surf Wollamai in summer and the reefs around Torquay in winter, although on Tuesday I'll be checking a certain, less well known spot, near a surf club.

Another Mexican checking in. What are the banks like at Gunna on the low tide? I'm excused from family duites only for the morning. Tuesday - already secured a flexy - will be heading to the surf coast.

The only reason anyone ever seems to come up with is durability. And that's not really good enough. I've been lurking on this forum for a little while. I'm a refugee from Swaylocks - a lot of great info but a little too serious and usa centric at times for me. I'd thought I'd chime in here with my ...
