Re: Just general surfing stuff

You guys who surf regularly at a high level might notice a diff but I doubt I would, so last years back zip at 50% off will do me fine lol.

Re: Autumn

I have. Huie made me a 7 1/2 greenough which was awesome as a 2+1 in my old 9'2" ( and in smaller stuff just by itself ). Got into a beauty one morning, bit overhead and steep and leaned it hard off the bottom and it just slipped out. Should've put the 8 1/2" in

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

true. the death of surfing was awarding Dane a 7.33 at haleiwa for the biggest, gnarliest turn i've ever seen in my life. it was a 10, perhaps the only positive real 10, i've ever seen in a contest. Those big fkukk off hacking, cubic metres of water moving things he does are a billion times better ...

Re: Front shoulder pain.

Yeah - it's weird. No shoulder pain, so they have ruled out frozen shoulder thus far. There was damage to the supraspinatus as well and that's where they think it has come from. Acupuncture has been the only thing to really help. Endone, endep and a range of other drugs didn't do much except make m...

Re: Margaret River Pro 2018

The Pepsi pool classic is one step closer to reality. Pro surfer dick banning after winning - "yeah it was hard out there mate, my Pepsi wetty made the difference though, no way I would've been able to do 5 identical reos without my Pepsi wetsuit. I'm keen to just kick back now and have a few cold p...

Re: Midlengths

It might cause a stir but 20 1/4 isn't really wide IMHO. 20 1/4 would be a short board width for me haha. My jd is for good waves and is 21". Doesn't feel wide at all.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

It beggars belief just how far to the very left of the kook spectrum I can actually get. Seriously, for someone who maintained a pretty grommy attitude and surfed pretty well up to my early 50s, it's fcukin depressing. I drove home this morning determined to list all of my boards on Gumtree. I surf...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I was having one of those shitty surfs today when nothing was coming together. Finally a lovely little 3ftr hit the bank right on key, as I was about to launch I hear this "MINE!!" and this old git proceeded to take off too deep etc..which is cool of course, but the MINE!! really gave me the shits....

Gonna order something like this. Love the idea of a Christenson middy but the reality is a more rockered quad will suit a wider range of waves.

Very smooth looking board mate.

Re: Midlengths

Last paragraph X 1000 re my jd. Can reduce rail volume without it bogging. But when the waves have more push you can get the rail in. If I had the same board scaled down to 6'6" and a touch wider I'd be set for smaller/average days.
