Ah shit, surfin turf, i forgot to remove that sign before i went out, next time i'll remember :) . Not really pissed off or anything, there were still only five out, its just that it was small windswell, and not a lot of waves comin through. Still, we all seemed to get a few half decent ones, and th...

Crowds are a comin

After a hot day on the weekend, i noticed a few more early risers today. Got in the water around 530, and it was just me and a mate for 45 mins. Then they came. Sat right next to us, a WHOLE beach, but they sat right next to us. Still had fun though

That number is a bodgy one, only 9 numbers, but i see what you mean. If it gets wiped, that's cool. Haha save a mouse sounds good

Graffiti might not be a bad idea mate. I'll try to get a browny orange colour for the rest of the "bricks", but im limited to auto paint in a can. I should be able to get something close though. If i go a lighter colour the graffiti would look better. Maybe i could scrawl "fish are for kooks" on it ...

I started the brick wall spray today. Doesnt look too bad ( i think anything looks better than plain white ), but the purple got splotchy. I did the tail black to cover up some marking out for the fins that went wrong. I went with the mckee quattro formula. Im pretty sure i'll get myself another can...

Some pics of the "new" fin haha. I cut 1/2'' off the back of the fin, from the base to the fat tip. Tried it in fat waves today, and i think i've found the right fin setup. The narower, and thinner tipped fin is easier to turn, and i had a lot of fun in ordinary waves. I'll keep this setup for now. ...

I am seriously thinking the brick wall spray, be a bit of a pain with the tape, but once done should be easy really. Bottom will be plain old flat, coz im lazy, and have no idea how to shape channels, concaves, vee etc. I mostly surf knee to little bit overhead so it wont matter too much. Between su...

6'3 fishy shape

I cut my disc down, and made it fishy again. Not my greatest, as i made some mistakes on the rails, but keen to try it. Have to save up for a bit to get some glass etc, but i have some fcs PC-7 quad fins that will go in it. [img]...

My twin keel is just too much fun not to ride. Im not a great surfer, i dont rip or shred, so it suits me fine coz i dont try to rip and shred on it. At 6'2'' x 22'' wide and 3'' thick, it paddles like a boat, and catches tiny waves. 2 big glassed on fibreglass keels feel fantastic when you really c...

I brushed ice off the windscreen this morning. Despite this i wasn't too uncomfortable in my springy. I think last week the water was much colder. I had trouble feeling my feet and hands when i got out though. Can only get warmer from here on in though, so its good news. If the waves were decent i w...

I havent been out lately, i've been sick, and at work. I took it out this morning as a thruster ( i have a thruster sized centre fin that fits in a box ). Waves were pretty crap, i've been very unlucky with waves on this board!!. I have worked out the paddling "sweet spot". THe one wave i did get wa...

I ripped the sleeve of my steamer around 2 months ago. So i started wearing the springy. Was going very well, pretty proud of myself. Until last thursday (?), f&*k me the water ( i only surf the dawn patrol ) was fu&*en icy. I was pretty crook ( half dead is the right description ), but i had to get...

I got some chest highish waves this morning. Pretty clean and semi hollow. Im sick as a dog, but managed a nice floater ( backhand ) and almost a backhand cheater 5. Very happy with the board. I think it needs a MORE haha performance centre fin, but im very happy with it.

Thanks mark!!

Hey RBP, i took it for a paddle today. I say paddle coz the waves were so fat it wasn't funny, i needed an extra 3' on the end of the board. It paddles great, and im hanging to get a wave on it. I could've moved in a bit, but they were pretty much dumping onto the shallow sand. Too far out, cant get...

When board "swapping" in the surf, im so cautious and careful with other people's boards its not funny. I'd hate to ding someones board, even though i could fix it that's not the point. Im not too worried about my boards coz they're home made, and a little um... rough around the edges, so a ding her...
