Have you been in touch with Ian Muller at Fiji Surf? He and his mate Dan seemed to be the best for boat transfers to Wilkes Passage. I can vouch for Ian Muller - a top guy - surfed with him on a one day stop over- he knew where and when it would be on and called me into some of the nicest barrels I...

Depression is a disease its not feeling depressed because of pressure this is a common disease among young men, its not a trendy fade or a cop out I was diagnosed 6 years ago, there was no single event in my case just increasing episodes of a joyless dark oppression - despite good job, great wife a...

he other thing i've noticed is that most tufflites have quite chunky rails. can't help thinking that finer rails might add a bit of drive. actually the exception to that is the TOM CARROLL model fish i've seen - lovely looking shape and fine rails. but only comes in a 5'6 and 6'2 or some silly size...

Have a 6,0 and 6,6 tufflite for about 18 months like them both (I am 82kgs). But agree 100% with NC the shorter fish style board seems better suited to the material. (surf it 90% of the time) If I was to renew a 3 board quiver I would definetely keep a 6-0 or shorter fish style in tufflite. probably...

CHRIS wrote think its more interesting that people actually pay money because they can't wait a few seconds. I think Chris is spot on - if the BPOD really bothers you and you cant wait the 30seconds then dont look for the month! and come back when its over. At least its upfront - unlike the regular...

You will not surf terigal much If you want to surf and commute look at Shelley beach area, consistent banks, picks up swell and some ineteresting ledges and reefs n...

Gotta say most of my midweek surfs are alone and I wouldnt have it any other way Just got back from a solo surf, caught the last of that little SE groundswell. Very soothing on the soul, no chatter, no noise, free to enjoy the waves in solitude rather than impress/compete or watch out for others Ano...

Best part of 16 trips - always have at least one problem changing money. Stick to the airconditioned money changers such as kodaks etc. Never had a problem with atmand have taken hundreds at a time - the rates are fair and you dont have to watch the ole slippery fingers counting it out.
