Stretch Riedel - a US shaper heavily into quads and pretty much the shaper of the moment- uses bat tails a fair bit but reckons not even pros can tell much difference in performance between a bat, a diamond and a swallow tail.
So if you like either diamonds or swalllows then you will like bats.

Had one Division board about 10 years ago but it was shaped by Nick Pope and it went great.
Never heard any one rave about Peters shapes - though he has a good rep as a craftsman
Interesting Peter used to ride a Kneeboard most the time he surfs (is very average standing up)

^^^^^^^^ pretty good summary The one thing Surftech do have that Firewire don't- is product available for use and sale to average joe in Australia. My sources tell me firewire is at least 12 months away from distribution in Australia. Whereas TL2 is due March /April this year - in limited designs - ...

Don’t think Surftech or whoever the amalgamation is of Thai, US and Australian interests is listed as a public company. NC might be able to shed some light? Dunno actually. I always suspected Surftech (privately owned at present) were kind of a target for one of the big surf brands to just buy 'em ...

If I had kids I'd just call em no. 1, no. 2, no. 3 and so on. Isn't that what George Foreman did? I recall reading he named his kids George 1, George 2, George 3, etc. Dunno how many he had. I'm pretty sure I nce saw an interview with Foreman where he told this story & even stated that his da...

Reads like any other corporate / marketing report - it could be just a bit of a shock for many of us to realise surfboards are treated as a commodity to be branded and promoted.
Look at some of the bullshit on some of the shaper / surfboard websites - its not restricted to surftech

A friend went on a panaitan boat charter late last season - the land camp was deserted and derelict - waves were inconsistent

Whats happening with this swell? There is no increase in size on the Wave Buoys as far up as Byron. There is plenty of size showing on the beach up here -(am a little north of byron) The Tweed buoy is showing a steady increase in period and size. I have been checking the open beach out front every ...
