Dynamite. Isn't there a video somewhere showing the efficacy of TNT?
The best video on YouTube it is.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Coffs council caught a lot of flak after a whale was buried at Sapphire in July 2015. Plenty of people made it known there was no way the Sawtell whale a few months ago would be buried if it died, right in front of the SLSC. Thing is, there is road access, and it was a small whale, so a digger and f...

I reckon I've had dolphins warn me of sharks.
George Greenough also has spoken of it.

The myth is that when there are dolphins around there are no sharks.
Nearby Dolphins being skittish and darting about, as opposed to milling around as they usually do, is a good indicator to paddle in.

I think that drop down refers to extra labour cost for gloss coat / polish around the various fin setups.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

you edited it ? It seemed interesting....what is the effect of the smart drumlines? I think it's too early to tell but I am hugely in favour because it is continually taking the argument away from the anecdotal and towards hard scientific data. There was a piece on Prime/channel 7 news a few weeks ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I rang up a shop which had a couple of stock boards from a shaper that would otherwise take months to get a custom.
Asked about the glass job and the guy proudly blurts out - oh yeah mate it's ultra lite.
No thanks.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Here's a poser.
Maybe it will take extremely consistent, mechanical, quality waves, to make the next design breakthrough?
And then we can design a robot to surf it?

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Ergo, better boards are being made for lower intermediates, thru to very advanced, to push their skill levels.
And shapers save their backs and lungs.

Win- win.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I reckon the surf industry is great at the moment. With the demise of the major players so many small creative players getting involved and making great stuff. Yep. Local "garage" style surf shops selling great stuff for fair prices. One example. Smart Leash Co. that actually sell each component fo...
