Up or down the coast when you can look at some distant mountain range thats geographically connected to the point your riding and the waves rolling around it. You watch the waves peeling perfectly off into the distance.
Then you take off on a set wave.......and noone drops in :D

I believe the mouth of brisbane waters has the odd bullshark roaming around. Particularly in the deep bit which runs out to sea up near the headland. Luckily there's no surfable waves in the area :D :D :D

Always wanted to go there. How is it with J.I?
There's a lot of very anti western extremists in the southern philipines and nth indo.

I remember even on Lombok years ago on my honeymoon you could sense the vibe. Had a rifle pointed at us for climbing a headland to check the coast out.

I have made it my policy over many years of surfing to never go for the early unless I'm within walking distance of a seriously good point break and I'm on holidays :D Most city breaks are too crowded to bother about the early unless you know its going to be good. I worry more about the right tide. ...

study is your parachute, 99.9% of people that have aspirations in the surf industry go nowhere and dont have the marks to fall back on. The higher HSC marks you get the more options, simple as that 99% of people working in the surfing industry have never studied anything other than who to shmooze. ...

You will be a bit more prone to depressions but with the disposable nature of boards these days does it matter? Saw a guy a few years ago jump off the nth side of kirra groin near the pipe. Right inside that little beachie area with knee deep water. He threw his brand new, never surfed ultra light b...

Had a 7'6" Pipedream I bought second hand years ago. I knew the guy in the shop and he talked me into it after a few reductions in price over a couple of weeks. Forced sale type of thing, going over seas etc. It went great. Even had a good surf at reasonably sized snapper on it. The only thing it di...

As I found out after purchase :? You can fit heaps of boards in but you have to go through too much crap to do it because the pass...

Here's one from left field, salt is a preservative in some cases, I realise that applies to food but it's just as tenuous. Dunno Dino if my memory serves me well the said skin heads would probably have wallowed in it :? :? :? Those boneheads were the demise of an era. Low life, pack attacking scum. Rolling drunks for fun and abusing women. Three of the pricks had a go at me after I'd been on the piss at the Trade Union ...
