I noticed recently nth bondi has got some new rescue boards with soft rails  This is a great development. I find it amazing these haven't popped up before considering all the learner boards around for years. Personally I find it interesting for people to reflect on surfclubs and their characte...

Principal I'm just glad I didn't own that money pit. Very high maintanance. A great old car though if you didn't own it.Shocking if you had to look for parts. I think we ended up in Picton one day trying to get a missing part off some old pommie  Good beer at the picton pub if you ever get ou...

It was supposed to be firing in the last cyclone.
It needs heaps of swell to work.
A friend saw it working at 8' years ago.
It remains one of my ambitions to get it working one day.

I have had my best ever surf session on a mal riding a tuflite takayama  So I'm a bit biased towards his shapes. If you were going to get one of his which one would you get? Used to ride an old Farrelly when I first started tooling around on mals. It was someones brothers who didn't use it much...

Years ago I was cruising down the coast with an old girlfriend in her Wolsley and I had some softracks attaching the board to the roof. I'd been surfing all morning and was dozing in the afternoon sun. As we drove past a big excavated section on the hiway the sun cast the shadow of the car with the ...

Mark...

When I was in Hikaduwa eons ago I went for a walk on the beach after sunset and walked a bit past main tourist hangouts. I got this sticky stuff stuck on my bare feet which was really hard to get off :x Next morning got up for the early to see half the population dropping their dacks at the waterlin...

The thing with Wegeners that I've seen is that sandwich style construction on the rail. It seems odd to me. Having said that I would love the luxury of having one to surf overated point breaks on 2' days 8)
