Re: Summer

Went for a run this arvo. They had the Dozer out pushing large mounds of sand away from the back of the beach and down to the waters edge. A few locals have said its the worst they have seen Bondi in 20 years.....and that's saying something.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Some ok waves out the dunny bowl just now. Head high sets. Watched some young bloke from the sub continent get dragged out in the rip alongside the rocks, then rescued by a couple of surfers. Poor cat was petrified. Happens there all the time. They need to erect permanent warning signs in a dozen l...

I reckon that depends on how inherently boring their style is.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Well there's no shortage of rocks out there. Of course if it's put up by Parks and Wildlife to monitor seal or penguin movements you will be stuffed.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I'm actually feeling pretty fit at the moment. Just sick of riding rubbishy mish mash. It's so bad that I think I've only attempted two or three surfs at Bondi this summer and none this year. More surfing Tama and Bronte than I would do in a year usually. Even the Bra a few times. A week at Crescent...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Looked at Bronte. A bit protected but couldn't be arsed getting my board. Water was nice for a swim though.

Re: biggest wave ever U ever surfed?

Hairy if you don't pull off and hit the Witches Cauldron too. I've seen way bigger waves down here. Saw Caves one time from out on one of the jetties. It was pitching at triple overhead. Perfect offshore.

Russtt, I ain't going near that until you put some paragraphs in there.
A bit of flowery descriptive Dionysian prose wouldn't go astray either. Glad you incorporated rip bowls though.

Re: biggest wave ever U ever surfed?

When I was starting to surf the only overhead wave I saw really was Kirra so that's what I imagined an overhead wave to be like. I'm kind of the opposite, Trev. Old big waves don't really register that much in the memory banks. The biggest ones weren't that mean....probably weren't that big either. ...

Re: Best softboard to use to teach kids ???

I started my son standing on a boogie board on the shore holding my hand when he was tiny. As the wave would wash in it would lift the lid up and we would skim board it around. Got him an old crappy foamy at throw out. He never looked back. Daughter had lessons. Can stand up but has always prefered ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Most of the East Coast has been sand mined. Sydney sand colour is dependent on the type of eroded sandstone...red or yellow....plus ground down shells of course.

A quick whip around at Lakemba for a JetSki should have the funds in no time. In fact they might give you a hot one.

Got one good one at Tama this arvo from out the back through to the Shorey. Pretty frustrating generally but that one made it worthwhile.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Tama got really crowded. Threatening to break right through from out the back but rarely connected.
