Re: Kelly's wave.

I'm kind of surprised at the intensity of negative emotions about something that's not even near the coast. If you don't like the idea of wave pools then the easy solution is to not go to them. Hopefully people will go to them in droves and the beaches will be empty. I guess The Olympics is the real...

Re: Eggs - how do you like them?

I actually mean keeping it on edge and pulling it under the water that way. Hanging on is a bit trickier but you get deeper quicker. Don't always do it myself but it tends to work when I remember to do it.

Yep, roll. One thing with doing a roll......if you just flip the rail vertical it goes down easier. Less resistance.

Do you think volcanic activity affects rainfall?
I often wonder if it works like cloud seeding.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Lucky I had a surf yesterday. Silly season seems to have started at Bondi. The high temps brings the early season Westies.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Arguably the sharkiest spot in Australia by Dorsal posts. Went out for a paddle yesterday and was pretty much thinking....I'm way too jet lagged to handle this. Particularly after three weeks of gluttony and boozing across Europe. Managed to eventually snare one good one and a couple of average ones...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Its kinda funny because a couple of younger brothers of a a mate of mine back in the UK surf and they would piss all over Steve, all over him. There were a couple of apparently sponsored guys from Britain surfing Balian when we were there a couple of years ago. They were doing yoga most of the day ...

Re: Ears

Ys it does grow back eventually. Apparently it's easier now to do the operation than when I had it. My hearing was about 80% gone in my right ear for ages but it wasn't a major problem. Then it got up to 90%+ and it really started to have an impact. TV up too high.....couldn't hear anything in a pub...

Haven't been to the exotic locals of St Kilda for 20+ years. I believe it's the cultural epicentre of contemporary Western Civilisation :)
In real life...just went out to dinner in Paris near Notre Dame.
