Bunker Bay, that’s where my son’s mate was taken in 2011. They were out there together the day before.

Re: Another New Toy

That’s the idea Trev, gotta keep moving and getting out there, whatever it takes.
I didn’t get in the water much when we first moved back to SA and eventually I just bit the bullet bought my first mal since the old Wallace I had as a first board 55 years ago.
It’s helped immensely.

Re: Midlengths

That’s something Ding King mentioned over and over, EPS boards delaminating under black areas even small carbon patches. Also caused by heat, boards left on hot cars, in the sun or in covers in the sun, they blow up. Structurally poor fin box installations is his main source of work though.

Re: Midlengths

Still looking around about getting an epoxy mal if a good cheap one comes up but I had thought a Walden Mini Magik might do the trick as you can nose ride them. However they are ridiculously expensive. When I had a Taka DT2 I ended up using it most of the time with a 6" rear and large side bites. G...

Looks like a Carver.
I know, I’ve only ever seen pics of Carvers, and was actually trolling Gumtree for one, then remembered I had this. Pulled it out of the cover and went huh?
Shame about the crappy colour scheme, the ends are actually a nice resin tint, and the glass job is first rate.

Re: Midlengths

I bought this Leighton Clarke board second hand 3 years ago and only ever used it once or twice. It's 7'4" x 21 1/2" x 2 1/2" PU/PE My go-to board for easy waves at the time was a 6'7" Miller F-skate, so when I tried the Clarke I found it really difficult to duck dive which annoyed me and I put the ...

shearer would cry today though because I used a back zip, the ONeill psycho freak zen zip, it's a great suit
I’m so stoked with my Psycho1 I bought recently. The batwing is actually the rear panel, and the back zip panel is attached to that, so you don’t feel it. Fits like a glove too.

I might get one, just so I can call myself a Boulevardier.
Mate they’re $499 right now, even if you never use it, it’s money well spent just to use that moniker.

Re: Midlengths

They have a 9' PU performance mal: tight little round tail, single into double V concave washing out in the last 9" into a slight V, super hard, sharp rails in the last 2', 6+6 on top with 4 tail patch, 6 on the bottom, double stringer, 4+1 fin setup. $699 regular price. I nearly bought one, but de...
