Wait til it's onshore and no swell for a week. Go out your mind with boredom.

Re: post your modern day sickness

What dims channels? Got one of those a little while back. Bought it as a step up - 6'4". Have only ridden it 3 times but I'm not sure about it, feels a little weird, super stiff, rides like it's a 6"8". Looking at it i anticipated it would be a consistent feeling straightforward step up from the bo...

Lumpy, rippy, wind blown Manly. Lots of duck diving, although head high and at least a bit of push.

Well at least the surgery wasn't going to make you look worse.

channels did she start every sentence with "when I won 7 world titles ..." Every time I've seen her in the media she immediately diverts attention from the actual topic to focus on her. Re: Just general surfing stuff

Saw on Swellnet that Gee from Chix surf school copped it in the comments section from a few keyboard warriors. Legend lady but doubt a male surf coach would get the same. To be fair, Gee copped it, not about being a woman, but for crowding the surf, which is the standard criticism of surf schools. ...

Get the MRI. It's a no brainer

A gath might have helped but if you do the maths of a the weight of a longboard with a person attached with the speed it would have been traveling and the force of impact would have been significant. I tried a gath years ago, hated it.

Good luck with recovery.

Re: skateboarding ...

Took my son to warehouse 11 in Artarmon this morning. Really impressive setup. Doesn’t appear kids skate anymore, my son was the only skater, probs 30 kids on scooters. https://youtu.be/Z8Q-kwcuoJg I wasn't aware of that. I might check it out. My son broke his wrist a couple of weeks ago on the boa...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I remember seeing Abbott out there one Monday morning, was a public holiday after the NRL GF. Swell was fairly solid, he was riding this hideous blue tiedie/ swirl painted minimal/funboard. He was sitting at Suck Rock and paddled into one without looking at the guy coming down the line. Didnt listen...

It's fun when it's not crowded. The problem is the guys who sit at suck rock an drop in leaving you caught inside.

Fairy bower and winki. Shoulder high to overhead. Pretty fun. Not too many out. Probs the fourth time I’ve ever surfed it.
Water quality?

I looked around this morning and a few places looked like a Cholera infection was imminent.

Re: Single fin shortboards

Hi-perf singles. Polfer Hull Designs. Dude clearly rips but it looks so far removed from single fin lines that I can’t relate it to single fin surfing at all. Moreover it’s thruster lines but looser and tighter in the pocket which is impressive. https://youtu.be/q8xDiRABlmE http://phdsurf.com/about...

Got the 6'6". Been out of the water for 4 months with my shoulder, was looking for something predictable with volume to ease back into it.
