Re: Where did you surf today ?

Fun 2 -3 footers at Manly. Despite the amount of people floating around, barely anyone surfing and beach was closed to swimmers.

If it was crowded it would have been a hassle but managing to grab 30 or so waves on a summer arvo exceeded expectations.

Re: Strahan tassie

Oh Australia, how needy you are. I know you want it to be special, steve. Different, somehow. But really, your USP is the weather and even that seems not so terrific when you examine the facts rather than the tourist brochures. Friend of mine, spent a year in Sydney. Said the waves were shit the wh...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Pushed the kids onto tiny waves on foamies up the coast. Took it for a paddle after, nipple rash after 3 or 4 minutes put that idea to bed.

These things look right up my street for what I’m after.

CI Peregrine.

Anyone ridden one?
Looks like every other higher volume shorty that every shaper does.

Someone else said it on here that someone sneezing in the next suburb will snap a CI.

Plenty of chest-high peaks with only two others out. Weird winds constantly swinging offshore/cross-shore/still. Then thunder and lightning. Loads of fun.
Pre or post high tide?

Had a shocker in fat burgery peaks just before the peak of the tide.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

There are some sensational banks still around. Paddled out in what looked like onshore mush this morning and watched a guy pick off (admittedly the only one I saw) a very round tube. Travelled 3 or 4 seconds behind the curtain and kicked out. I didn't get anything that resembled that.

Agree with that Steve.

In junky or slower surf, need the thruster to get the snappier direction changes.

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over

My Mini Merk is just a phenomenal board. Had a longish righthander this morning had a heap of speed up and put it all into a big carve/cuttie on the end section. It just felt so right.

Definitely not an everyday board, don’t want it in junky stuff but in good conditions, it flys.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Pre dawn surf. Glassy 3 foot or so, peaky and super fun.

Tide made it too fat so out of the water at 6.30am.

OK so the next seven or eight days is gonna be the most bang up mental fcuken period of surf along much of the NSW coast for this year.

Let's see what you get. Fcuken wake up and be Realsurfers for once.
I'm guessing you mean once this wind finally shifts?
