Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Does anyone know if a wetsuit deteriorates even if it is not used. Like is a new, but 2013 model going to have a significantly shorter life than a new 2015 one.

Re: Ask Carroll

well yes but we aren't really talking about "fat" here are we, we are talking about sorta tubby. A bit around the midsection. Jowly. Slumping muscle structure. Carries himself with brittle confidence but privately worries about his declining state. Women don't look at him much any more. His wife co...

Re: Bells

Well I agree wave quality is everything for the tour and Bells has issues, but if they are going to start changing venues, Bells wouldn’t be the first on my hit list. Several other venues have worse waves and/or are less consistent. If the tour is to go to truly the world's best waves, it could be c...

Hells Bells. Fasten seat belts, we're going to go fast. lol http://www.thefreeridevoice.com/2015/04/01/the-raw-and-cooked-wednesday-night-crock-pot-a-slow-roast/ I don’t agree with a lot in that article ,so I’ll throw my 2cents in about Bells. Compared to a lot of other WCT venues, Bell is pretty c...

Re: snapper pro

How about this for a morning show: Occy, Potts and some upcoming grommet pull up to the beachside carpark in a sponsors car to check the surf. You as the viewer have the angle from the passenger seat. Grommet checks surfline forecast on his samsung and is amping to go out. Occy and Potts drink their...

Re: snapper pro

When Slater is getting interviewed at an event, he's always keeping an eye on the ocean. He'll even stop talking as a good one comes though. I love it, the most surfed guy on the planet prefers to watch a good wave than speak during a live interview about himself. The WSL panel sit at a desk with th...

Re: snapper pro

To have to sit through 25 minutes of bullshit on the morning show before you get the call is a fcuken insult to every surfer who is tuning in to the event.
Its a surf check. Make it one for everyone who isn't there.

Re: Ask Carroll

Nick, what would you deem to be the generalised variances in the "styles of surfing" that best embodies and "typifies" surfers in general from their given locations in Australia. i.e; general style/approach/look of surfing ? and if so, what are your examples ? ...we have developed distinct surfing ...

The Webster 'General' and 'Stubby' big-guy boards look like a good compromise for the aging shortboarder. Anyone ridden one?

That moment when my mind makes the 'yes' decision to go out, sometimes after long procrastination. Its like a switch is turned and then i can't get out quick enough.

Re: Travel Insurance & Vaccinations

If you haven't already, make sure you get a good physio now. Your probably favouring the good leg so the muscles are wasting on your bad one, meaning your recovery post op can take longer.
