Re: Just general surfing stuff
Good on ya beery, I remember when you first got that board and posted the photos. It looks amazing. Keel fish go great in points so do bonzers and one of my best cutbacks ever was at a 3ft beachie on a single fin. Fins are important but really it's about good you feel or as you get older how creaky ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
From my reading I think you ride the odd McCoy. So you're talking about your other boards when turning right? :) Jokes Oh f$&k! Lookout, here come the McCoy zealots. Train wreck impending. Are fins the most important part of a good/great cutback board? I think rails play an important role myself

Nick, I read somewhere the WSL are going to hold a contest next May, is it going to be part of the WCT? & if so, how fcuk are they going to score it? Seriously, are the WSL trying to make surfing, a simple sport, just way more complicated than it actually is? For me, it's getting more like pro wrest...

So, we can expect a flood of them on gumtree? Hopefully a mblv and/or chunky 3 fin egg, blue tint for both please, and preferably priced for quick sale. Pick up close to my place would seal the deal I have a MBLV just like Batoes in excellent condition which I am looking to sell to fund other "proj...

Re: Midlengths
How's the turning circle on the Gato? I got a nice long clean ride on the DVS today. I squealed quietly like a little bitch at the end of it. Beautiful Davros, at night before bed I gently caress the rails and run my hands over the beautifully pulled in tail. I went to Byron and checked out the How...

Re: Midlengths
Jet has hit the nail on the head, Devon Howard's beautiful carving surfing on good waves feels attainable. It makes you feel "yeah I can do that" (whether we do or not is highly debatable, subjective and irrelevant). I have been surfing my midlength all winter because I surf less, harder to get out ...

I'm taking a big bite that's for sure. Maybe more than I chew. 30.5L lowest volume by a mere .5L 5'5 shortest by an inch. Had a few waves on a 5'6 webber mini fish. Never really gave it a proper chance as the super flat rocker wasn't my cup of tea. Hopefully get in tomorrow arvo. Just put your head...

Re: Midlengths
Batoes has ridden a Duo. Some major surgery required on the Zot. Stop complicating things Jam, surfing is hard enough  Just trying to be helpful Davros! Given that Cranky is riding good quality waves, the duo is suited to good waves, the duo has an eggy outline like the zot.......how could it ...

Re: Midlengths
Hey cranky, have you considered setting one of your zots up as a duo? I have a feeling NPJ's duo set up would improve a Mccoy *Please note I have no scientific evidence to support this statement and am in no way responsible or liable if this f$&ks up your new board

Re: Midlengths
If you re considering a non concave, low volume 7'' plus midlength, .....Gato Heroi.... there have been a few on gummie recently.
Sit in the pocket & trim, then step back on the tail to carve, those beautiful knifey rails keep the volume down.
Single fin of course
