Re: The Good Luck A Number One McCoy Thread

Davros, there's a bit of backround needed. Every board of Geoffs that I've looked at (hand shapes and surftech) has a lot of rocker in the tail, like 1.75" in the last 30". This made them a bit slow and mushy (as per 'boos description) in less powerful surf. But as everyone knows, the force exerted...

Re: Midlengths

Have a look at what Ian Cairns says about McCoy and his influence on Horan. Why would ya take notice of that twit.He could stand on a surfboard quite well.Couldnt shape for shit.He gave Australians a BAD name in Hawaii that resonated around the world.Rides a Mal in Cali, so went from a high end sur...

Gee, sometimes reading this about McCoys I start to think....hhhhhmmmmm maybe I should try one. Then I go.....nah they still don't look any good and I have never ever seen anyone surf one well. Either live or video footage.
Google up some Cheyne footage...and Shane(Herring) as well.

Quad? Does he make them?
That's near blasphemy Davros, wash your mouth out with soap, immediately.

According to Geoff, quads are for learner kooks who lack the ability and expertise to surf the Gullwing singles
The only good thing about those GW fins is ya can put em in the garbage bin!

Re: Midlengths

Don't bother with a single fin...DOGS...

And if you get a glassed on thruster, get the grinder out and put 5 plugs in so you can fine tune it to how you wanta surf.

Re: Midlengths

I surf nearly every day in Sydney and am hard pressed to see a McCoy. I don't need to go on a FB site. That doesn't mean they aren't a good board, I think it's just packaged the wrong way. Like so said I think it's disappointing he got caught on the one design and has been unmovable since then. It ...
