The Farm. Consistent head and a half high sets with plenty of push and clean conditions. and not too many people out.

Re: Ebay Bargains thread

Or just follow Yoda’s advice “Do or Do not, stop fucking overanalysing a twinnie” Yeah well twin fins are back in vogue with probably countless shapers having a crack at getting it right. Expect consumers to scratch their heads over it, ask questions, be cautious. Same as happened back in the early...

Re: Ebay Bargains thread

I’m becoming increasingly tempted to just bite the bullet and go for a Pyzel wildcat twin at full price Wildcat: https://pyzelsurf.com.au/products/wildcattwin I can see the rest of my days being off the rack boards from sideways surf, decent boards and reputable shaper/designers at half the price o...

Re: Ebay Bargains thread

I’m also a little hesitant on the plan shape and rocker . Too flat, too wide/bloated? I’ve had a decent custom board off PCC before, that said, he shaped a flat-tracker style single fin, when I was instead after a hi-performance style board  I’m becoming increasingly tempted to just bite the bu...

Re: Ebay Bargains thread

Cheap enuff and good condition 6’1 round tail channel bottom twin by PCC.

$340. Sorta interested (I’m a Scrooge) but not overly convinced on the product. Something smell off about the design.

Thoughts ??

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards

The pyzel options look decent also.

Wildcat: https://pyzelsurf.com.au/products/wildcattwin

Happy Twin:

Both gh3y names but whatever

Anyone surfed either of these boards?
The happy twin looks more small-wave focused.
Am preferring the look of the WC

Re: Where did you surf today ?

late arvo go out at north end maroubra. far from ideal conditions, south groundswells suck there. but surfed the pyzel shadow for the first time in months and it felt great, like a fine blade. can't wait to get it into some decent waves again.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I want to seal it up and surf this week. Just want to see some signs of healing first. Chemist warehouse should sort you out. Plenty of ointments and water proof bandages/bandaids. They work well for protecting open wounds so you can surf without it developing into sea ulcers. I’ve done it a bunch ...

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards

Not exactly the same but check out Gary Mcneil Torus twin, they go pretty sick Hmm. Looks nice. But not so sure about keel fins for beach breaks. 🤔 Dont put keels in it, use uprights... swap them for keels on points if you want... or dont. Aipa uprights go good. Best twin fin I’d ever owned was shaped by Nigel Beckham. Pretty sure he’s retired from shaping now.

Nigel is still shaping.
Ah that’s good to hear. Wasn’t he sick, cancer or something a while back ?
