Re: Bribie Island Board Riders

I’ve surfed woorim beach once before. Hollow shore break at chest high plus and surprisingly good. Was about fifteen or so years ago. Visiting a mate from Melbourne who at the time for some bizarre reason thought it was a good idea to move there. After a few months having made his way through a bunc...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Waist to chest high windslop down south end for about an hour.
Shitty waves but caught about fifteen of them.
Couple of top turns, few fun little bowly pockets for speed runs, a little cover up a late deep takeoff, no poostancing or tick tacking, considerable seaweed.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Gurgling two-three foot east swell. Building. Terrible shape. Think I managed two turns on about six waves then came in. This was one of the better waves. Better day for being a cyclist.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Bodysurfed the left ripbowl down the south corner. Heaps of fun. Been at least ten years since I’ve taken it out.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Too much period in the swell. Was considering a certain south facing reef but the west wind always ruffles it and makes the take off zone shifty and sketchy. So closeout beachies it was.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Nulla beachies chest to head high plus. Dead south swell and long period = mostly shutting down but the smaller ones in between sets had some makeable ones with a wall and shoulder.
Surfed the 6’4 single. Managed to get a nice little barrel, though the whole wave shut down just after I came out.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

South end from 3 til just before 5. Was a notch bigger when I first paddled out and only a handful. Now it’s packed to the hilt. Some screamers on offer. https://s1.postimg.org/3k8u3lgrnj/1_C80_B3_CB-8_BA0-4_D36-_BA49-87_A6_D8245331.jpg https://s1.postimg.org/3nsg1b8rsf/34_A36_BB7-_D708-4719-_AB36-5...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Two foot plus south end maroubra. Junky conditions but some fun wedgey ripbowls. Steep and pitching but not quite barelling. Those junky east swells always surf better than they look.

Yesterday 4-5 foot slamming closeouts and today 3-4 foot of the same. Think I’ve done only two turns in two days

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Fun as hell. 2-3 foot dunny bowl. Stacks of waves coming through. Great shaped peak and plenty of wall to carve up. Surfed the 6’0 single egg.
