This is terrible.....
Found this in the Age yesterday....its so f%cked. "$6.2m bid seals Flinders caravan park deal" "Another winter and another coastal caravan park has been put in the hands of a builder. On the Mornington peninsula, an as-yet-undisclosed developer paid $6.21million at auction last sunday for the flinde...

Re: Meyerhoffer?
I surfed out at Phillip Island on Saturday at Shelly Beach. As i was getting out an older guy paddled out a board that looked similar to a Meyehoffer. Shaped by OKE (VIC shaper i think), it was a peanut shaped thing, about 9ft, and with a massive flyer in it. It had a pretty sweet paint job too. ha...

step deck longboards
hey guys ive seen a few longboards (mainly older 60s style) out in the water recently with a step-deck in the nose. In other words, the nose looks like it has been dug/scooped out. i had a look on a few shapers websites to see how they worked, but all i could find was the words 'good for noseriding'...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yewwww had an absolutely sick surf today, probs one of my best in a while. surfed western port with my 9'1 and expected it to be shoulder height, instead turned out to be head-head and a half, with only a few other guys out. beautiful fast and clean walls with great turning and nose riding sections....

Re: Displacement hull boards
Thanks for that cuttlefish, that seems like a pretty good price. Ive seen a couple of Matt Keanes boards and they looked like they were shaped really well.
Huie that board looks sick. did you shape it for yourself or for a customer?

Re: Displacement hull boards
Thanks for the replies guys. I very briefly tried one around 7'2 last year at cape conran, it was fun, but I didnt really surf it enough to get a real feel of it. Felt quite glidey though. The surf also was a little big for the board. never ridden one but you should check out one california day,ther...

Re: Dead whale at Flinders
i was speaking to a few mates who said it washed up somewhere around the area of big left and cyrils. which already feels pretty sharky even without a washed up whale lying around the shore! but theres always sharks being spotted around there, whale or no whale... just surf the breaks east of it for...
