Re: Surf fitness

What about a rowing machine - has anyone had experience with these in relation to surf fitness?

Re: First quad feedback

Can't remember the thread, but Iggy once wrote a comparison between thrusters and quads which i totally agree with. Quads can be squirrely, the thruster more stable. Exclusively surfing my quad in all conditions and sizes since May with mixed results, but loving it anyway.

Re: local shapers vs big names..

I'd like to hear people plug their local shapers who they know are there for the benefit of their customers. What are some of those magic boards you've had made, and by whom? I'm new at this forum, and am not sure if a lot of you are industry types owning / running surf companies, but what the heck ...

Re: Reshape?

I just have a problem with space, time (bloody work), tools and knowledge. Could be something i look into, but not for a while - i'd rather put $$ towards a new one. I peeled back some fiberglass (about 6 inches), and it came off easy but didn't attempt it on the rail. I'll search for the threads al...

Re: Jackson Biscuits

There's another Jackson shaper down south at Ulladulla - Vern Jackson (http://www.vernjacksonsurfboards.com), who makes a great product. My bro in law is on one of these and it's a great board (caught a few nice ones on it myself). I believe they're pretty popular down that way.

Reshape?

I have a snapped 7'6" currently sitting in my garage which was only 8 weeks old and can't bring myself to throw it out or spend $250 to repair it (would rather put the $ towards a new board, plus it would be weak and only snap again, i reckon). The bottom half is now about 5'8" (immaculate ding free...

Re: Jackson Biscuits

I can vouch for Jacksons, best boards i've ever owned. Currently riding a 6'1" hybrid fishy thing they made for me a few years back after snapping my mini mal a few weeks ago. I checked out those quad biscuits on the weekend and am seriously thinking of getting one over another longer board. Also ke...

Re: Intro

Ha Pridmore, yeah i guess it's a weird one, but i was trying to be on the front foot after reading some of the regulars stuff. I've been out the water for approx 3 years due to work and travel, so back in December i decided to pull my finger out and get right back into it. My last custom, felt a bit...
