There's one out in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane too.

I thought the one near Trev was a Barra fishing place now?

Re: Norfolk Island

After about 15 surf checks over a week I surfed once. Could've pushed that to 3 if I had someone to watch me, or I was less concerned about losing bark on the reef. It was apparently one of the best weeks of weather in months. Didn't see another surfer all week. The fishing was ridiculous. Caught ab...

Re: Norfolk Island

sorry Boo, just saw this, will have a squizz soon as I can. Would still appreciate it. Local weather is useless, internet almost nonexistent. Hard place to figure out most of the breaks. Bit much swell, and bit much west. It's dropped and swung so fingers crossed for the rest of the week. The break...

Re: Norfolk Island

Heading there tomorrow. Anyone want to hazard a surf forecast?
BOM marine forecast is a bit vague, figuring out what board to take.

I knew Peter Garrett surfed, but pegged him as taller.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Saw a break working today that I haven't seen working like that since about 2009.

Way, way too sharky to paddle out.
Plus a long long way from an ER.

Re: Wave models

As they should be. 7 day wind forecasts are mostly fantasy.

I love the regional forecasts, they're so inaccurate for the places I surf it's like going back to the early 2000s.

If only there was some sort of measurement of wave energy you could use as a gauge.

Pedantry is the bedrock of science.

If you're fine with just disregarding all the situations where the real world doesn't match the theory, you should've been an economist.

Re: Wave models

And as I've pointed out before, kJs are very useful and I use them as, unlike swell height, kJs remain the same irrespective of whether a wave is a deep ocean swell, near coastal swell, or a breaking wave Jesus fcuk. Your attachment to kJ doesn't even adhere to the laws of physics now? So all break...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

I think 'the same of viewers as WSL' figure was for the supposedly one-off Facebook Live screening. I'm hopefully tuning in to Space tomorrow morning. Once only, never screened again! Half an hour to go until it starts. But yeah, it was put on Vimeo soon after the Facebook Live screening and it is ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

So the supposed only screening of jjf’s clip had the same number of viewers as a WSL contest So Jjf doesn’t need the WSL All this really tells ya is that roughly the same people are watching both. Really? They're very different products, appeal to different audiences and are consumed differently. A...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Sent you a PM, Wyre.
I recommend sorting out the back problem with a decent diagnosis first. I'm doing exercises I know work for me, based on 20 years of advice from physios.
