I ride a 5'11" by 23.5" kneelo most of the time, it doubles as my stand up short board. I take out a 6'4" by 22" in bigger stuff.
I also go for a yearly surf on a bodyboard, usually when it's big and closing out.

writing that out made me realise what i really want - (mmmm, it could be the SUP of the bb world...or maybe more of a roy stewart thing) a longer bb with fins i can ride like a kneeboard. I've always wanted to try something like that. It'd make landing barrel rolls a lot more comfortable in big waves

KB You have just reiterated oldies point, but rather than use the term agnostic and athiest, you've used "agnostic-atheists" and "strong athiests". That's because agnosticism relates to knowledge, not belief. Interesting ideas, and I understand what you are saying but if you want to argue the meani...

An Atheist wouldnt say they've got it all worked out. Your talking about Anti-theists. I know this has been debated on other forums, and I've enjoyed your point of view coops, but you're just wrong here. An atheist is a person who says there is no god, who believes there is no god. Clear statement,...

I think the other question here is why wouldn't you just kneeboard as opposed to drop-kneeing on a booger. I asked the same question in the bodyboarders section a couple of months ago. I didn't really get an answer. As for drop kneeing, it's just another opp for Boogers to ride a wave differently. ...

The South Coast in the beginning of autumn. It's still warm enough to surf in boardies, there's a shitload of good breaks and you can usually find somewhere that's out of the wind and clean.

Good questions Nick. The drop knee stance is said to have been invented by Jack Lindholm, one of bodyboarding's pioneers back in the 70s. He took the dk stance to Pipeline, which made people sit up and take notice of what he was doing. OK I will try again. Can somebody who understands it explain to ...

Hiya K-boarder the reaon to go to a stand up board for standing up is simple; they are a better tool for the job. Yep surfers like farrer can do awesome things on a k board both kneeling and standing _ and I've watched him and been amazed _ but standing on a kneeboard is a compromise. There's quite...

I feel that any kneelo who tries, perseveres and succeeds at standup would be unlikely to revert to kneelos. Unlikely, given that you can learn to ride kneeboards effectively standing up. Why would a skilled kneeboarder want to ride a standup when they could ride a kneeboard and get the best of bot...

Soo jealous (Is he Goofy on a stand up ) Anyone know? I know someone who will. He's a natural foot. J...

I can barely believe how popular quads are with the standups now. I've ridden a quad kneelo standing up before, I didn't really like it much. It makes me wonder what a quad stick would go like, I'll have to try one one of these days.

Re: kneeboards

I am a stand up surfer and shaper have been playing around with fishes with quads, twinnies and even my squin fins (square / quin ) and am real keen to shape a kneeboard and play around with some fin options. Never done a kneeboard and would love to have a go. anyone out there keen or can give me a...

Re: kneeboarding and fins

so how do you use fins? Back when I used flippers I still did the majority of paddling with my hands, I only really used the flippers as extra push for getting into waves. If I ever used them to paddle back out the back I'd shift down the board so I could get more of my legs in the water and kick t...
