Was quite good up here in the Hunter yesterday (Wed) until about 5pm when the wind finally came up.
No takers this morning with a screaming South Easter blowing.

Out the front was good. Just didn't get the perfect swell direction for it. We had it up to 6ft+ after a cyclone. Surfed a couple of other places and they were very good too. Just not 'perfect' as we didn't get the right swell directions. Definitely stay with Keith. He is a legend of surf travel aro...

The trip was good. Very good.

Not really a place to take kids as there isn't a lot to keep them entertained and the accommodation is very basic (but VERY good).
Maybe it's different on Upolu. I spent the whole time on Savaii though.

I'm staying for 15 days so HOPEFULLY we should have some good surf while we're there. I've got four boards that I was thinking of taking. 3 shorties - 2 6'2's and a 6'4" + a little 5'9" fish. Is that too many boards? Will I have the oportunity to use the fish? We're 'hiring' a car so travel shouldn'...

Leaving for Samoa (Savaii) on Wednesday and staying at a surf camp in Aganoa. Can anyone suggest what I need to take? Got my summer board the other week. 5'9" x 20 1/4" x 2 5/8"
Goes vertical easily and still paddles really well for it's size. Love it!

I swam (in my steamer) for a grand total of 400m on Saturday.
That was as far as I could go before I nearly spewed.

Please someone tell me that swimming in a steamer is REALLY hard and that I'm not that un-fit? I'm twenty-friggin-six!
