So, I've been wearing back zips since before they were cool then.
Me too.
The old story.
I've been wearing this so long it's back in fashion.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I think we will have to see how this pans out......but on the ground where I am, I am a seeing a ferocious backlash to the indignity of the chestzip. Who knows, maybe in ten years time we will look back on the reign of the chestzip wetsuit and wonder out loud: what the fcuk was that shitt all about...

Yes, it looks more far more dangerous. They seem to try to land on their chest, which has some extra protection with the big wave inflatable vest they all wear.

Steve, I can feel something incubating but I'm not sure what it is yet.
A fart?

Re: Just general surfing stuff

It was very noticeable at the Pe'ahi contest, when competitors went flying thru the air over the handlebars, they tried to get them arms down by their sides. Looked totally kamikaze not doing the instinctive thing of getting your arms forward to brace for impact. I'm surposing the bad shoulder inju...

Despite their massive phuck up, someone at Sunshine Coast Council has a sense of humour. The skip bins they used to carry away the whale's remains were from Whale Skip Bins Company.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

National Park again today. 3 hours. I'm stuffed. Last wave was almost 500 metres from the car park down to Little Cove. Went in via First Point and walked back to my car. Pretty sure Bob Cooper was sitting just above the beach in a wheelchair. how crowded? big enough for a shortboard? Crowd was pre...

Kirra with three guys in the water as well after a storm came through and the wind swung offshore while we were checking out the Goodtime Shop.
We lived for those storms in 1964 and 5, after school and several days of northerlies.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

1966 Trev, you must have seen a few things change since then. Er yep. Drove up in my first car, a 48/215 Holden (FX). Surfed at Alex and managed to upset the locals so moved on to Noosa. Probably a half dozen out. Surfed for hours. No legrope of course. :-o Today, not too crowded at gumtrees and go...

I'm in Noosa. These northerly winds could drive a man insane.
there's a place nearby which is good to great and possibly even epic in ENE swell with N winds.
Trouble is the swell isn't getting in.
And the little bit that's there is swamped in surf schoolers and SUPs. #*!
