Kirra with three guys in the water as well after a storm came through and the wind swung offshore while we were checking out the Goodtime Shop.
We lived for those storms in 1964 and 5, after school and several days of northerlies.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

1966 Trev, you must have seen a few things change since then. Er yep. Drove up in my first car, a 48/215 Holden (FX). Surfed at Alex and managed to upset the locals so moved on to Noosa. Probably a half dozen out. Surfed for hours. No legrope of course. :-o Today, not too crowded at gumtrees and go...

I'm in Noosa. These northerly winds could drive a man insane.
there's a place nearby which is good to great and possibly even epic in ENE swell with N winds.
Trouble is the swell isn't getting in.
And the little bit that's there is swamped in surf schoolers and SUPs. #*!

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Thanks. I've sent a pm but it's in my outbox not in the sent folder. Anyone know if that's a normal forum thing now? As buddy says. When it's opened by recipient it'll move to your sent folder. In the meantime, said recipient receives an advice that he's got mail. Realsurf has been that was as long...

Re: Inguinal hernia, anyone had surgery?

Ok cool mate cheers. Might try to get wet a few times before the op. Should only be 6 weeks out after the op I had both mine for years before surgery. Even rebuilt the front yard terraces at Castle Hill with 8 x 4 hardwood sleepers. By myself. The bulges never really grew over the years after I fir...

Re: Kelly's wave.

Oh I imagine some people would be able to rationalise it. I can't. It makes me want to throw up, just a little bit. Been thinking more, it's just odd. Obviously most surfers live near water. So if you spend millions to build one, you either go near water, and hope a small amount of surfers try it, ...

Re: Inguinal hernia, anyone had surgery?

Cheers guys. Yeah Trev, groin. I don't really like the idea of surgery, it's very minor. I do lift weights though, and it really helps my knee strength so would like to keep doing that, so if dr recommends it I'll do the surgery. Have heard of people claiming the mesh can cause awkwardness/discomfo...

Re: Inguinal hernia, anyone had surgery?

The groin, yeah? I've had both done. One in about 1990, the other about 12 years later. First was sewn up. The second had a piece of mesh inserted. Both overnight stays. After the first, done on a Friday, I surfed 8 days later. Never told the doc. After the second, doc told me to wait 2 weeks, which...

I'd like to hear an in depth review on the RTA and their service, shep.
At least we can do it on line in the Sunshine State.
