Re: New Toy

yeah sweet, good price too! though i'd prefer a rounded pin tail, for the aesthetic. how would the cut off square differ in performance from a rounded pin? The new one my mate bought has a rounded pin. I've never ridden a rounded pin so I can't compare. I like the square tail because that's the way...

New Toy

Wanted a Pacer for years since one passed the under the arm test years ago. Generally too expensive second hand. New = $1595. Got hold of this one last week for $400. Just a few scratches and marks. No repairs. Rides beautifully and paddles easily. Bargain. https://i.imgur.com/BE1an0W.jpg https://i....

Well I wear hearing aids (30% hearing loss) and with them in then no tinnitus.

When I did (failed) the hearing test the hearing specialist asked if I could lip read.
Hearing aids do nothing for my tinnitus.
It's just.... There.

the prefect solution to my occassional tinitus is dancing close to the bass bin in a club.
the top ends, extraneously, cause the ears ring a bit for a few hours after, but thanks to the bowel shuddering power of bass, next day, gone!.
Bass fixes tinnitus?
Awesome.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Sideways Surf have opened an outlet store in Brookvale. Any good my Queensland comrades? One of my mates was running a water craft hire firm on the Passage for a friend while it was on the market. Bought a SUP paddle from them. Broke on first use. No problem they said. We'll send it back to the sup...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

my Xcels are all the most flexible and comfy suits i've had ... but they don't last more than a season before they're split to the shithouse. Oneil and rip are the best suits out there, imo. warm & reliable. with a patagonia 4/3 for tassie winters I used O'Neill for years, then tried Xcel based on ...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Using plastic bags for the legs is big in the adult learner community, I hear. Perhaps give that a try duck? Although on thinking about it, that's probably more of an 'on' thing than and 'off' thing. Maybe instead you could pop into Uniqlo with jimmy next time he's getting the waistband on his trou...
