Re: Where did you surf today ?

Couldn't believe it. Tha...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

looks boring and crowded, but still much better than what I got today, which was 5/8's of fukall.

few little sniffs of an early season tradewind swell coming this way next week. If so, I have a little fun park of wedges in the back pocket you might be interested in having a look at.

Re: Will spring have some zing?

What, around Sydney's eastern Suburbs? Every second middle aged cube monkey cnut seems quite able to don the lycra, get himself ripped off at a bike shop on a ridiculously over-specced status symbol of a bike and get the job done Loof.......so I'd take that exceptionalism argument and flush it down ...

Re: Will spring have some zing?

Riding a bike is something your average 4 year old does with no problems whatsoever Loof.

I guess that is why it is so popular with adult learners who need a "sport" with a skill base a pre-schooler can master.

Re: Kelly's wave.

"your guess is a good as mine"? "piece of cake", one of my favourites. "able to eat pawpaw without a spoon" is no...

It was just a little kidding, Steve.
I apologise though. Obviously, flippancy is not appropriate for such a very serious topic.

Re: Kelly's wave.

If you went to the opening of the Vietnam Kelly Slater WavePool as a VIP(Thirroul surf legend and noted surf writer) would you wear an ironed shirt Lucky Al, or would you go al fresco?

Re: Kelly's wave.

Given that the average ride goes for about 5 seconds and most surfers will never have a ride over 25 seconds in a lifetime of surfing, $10 (which is less than the price of a craft beer) for a really good 60 second wave seems not an unreasonable spend. Bullshitt. 99% of QLD and NSW surfers who ride ...

I'd see it as a cheaper more disposal medium than an ocean wave

Really? At $10 bucks a wave?

I'd think that would have the opposite effect.

You pay for waves, and you'd be less inclined to "waste" them because it's cold hard cash down the drain.
