Re: Debate over shark killer rages
Interesting thread, mountains of facinating information I saw one about 2 weeks ago out maroubra pointed it out to another bloke and we just paddled in calmly but with purporse. It showed no interest in us at all.I think Pinhead is on the right track with the trama bandages and stuff I always carry a ...

I recon maroubra 8/10 its pretty consistantly good even in south swells whitch tend to close out the nth end.It handles a good 8' and once over 4'+ its never crowded especially in summer.

Re: Displacement hull boards
Not sure what you meen by "displacement hull".But if you meen a rolled bottom with nose concave and 50/50 rails check out Jordi Brown's High Tide boards,I got a 9'8" last year and am verry happy with every thing about it.Not realy ment for waves over 3' though.

Re: skinny feet or shite wax job ???
I wax my boards almost the same I do have small feet for a bloke but my point of reason is that if one of my feet endup that far off centre Im going to fall off anyway and if you've ever watched the rails of a board through a turn you'd know that a lot of water travels over that side of the deck.You...

Re: Surf satire from 'Bearded Gimp'
1)Just by its self.I was'nt sure what to do so I put it were I would put a single fin.2)That tail looks good.I was thinking of sompthing verry similar but with harder points on the rails for more relese through turns(as its only going to be for small surf.3)Is that the planshape you've been using fo...

Re: Surf satire from 'Bearded Gimp'
G'day Roy,yeh the fin's great.Im thinking of getting a real wide tail fish moving the side finns up a bit and using the tunnel as a centre fin, similar to a thruster set up but with one obvious diference.I'm still yet to decide on the size and shape of the side fins but I,ll probably go for standard...

Re: Surf satire from 'Bearded Gimp'
AAAHaaahaaha,All this tunnel vision makes me think of tunnel fins.I have one of roys tunnel fins and it works well in an 8'4" foam board.Imsoon totry it in a fish ??? .Without experimentalists like roy surfing would stagnate into corperate design lockdown other wise known as G.S.I. so bring ...

Before you do anything I suggest that you book an appointment with a phsycotherapist. They may be able to help you before this gets to the advanced stage.Remember prevention is better than cure.

You can certanly see why they call the tasman a sea when all the good weather systems are on the other side of the island chain. We may still score in the gap between vanawatu and nth island N.Z. :?

Should plug the holes, put on a bit of wax and take it for a surf thats what they're made for.I had several old singles a few years back and I had a great time(use to pick them up at cash converters dirt cheap). But they are what they are and thats just shitty old boards not worth $$$.Had a 6'10" dick...

Re: Greg Webber and frictionless fins?
Sounds like a tuna fin(they go pretty fast) .But by going longer and narrower wouldnt you still be retaning the overall surface area as a shorter widder based fin? :( Its got me f#%k3d how they get this friction free buissness anyway  .If youve got one surface moving over or within ano...
