wonder how big that board is?
If it's the same board he was riding at big Haliewa the other day it's a 6'0 Ghost, there''s a clip somewhere with Pyzel talking about it.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

A mate who lives at Lighthouse beach just ordered one. Thanks, it seemed strange that in all the online discussions I've read I hadn't seen much talk of them or heard of people using them. If I was spending much time in the water up there it would be the first thing on my things you're looking to b...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Steve, I watched the CoastalWatch presentation the other night and noticed the shark expert (can't recall his name) seemed to advocate the use of the shark shield devices. I really haven't read too much about them or there effectiveness but it seemed like a good testament coming from him. Do you use...

Oh and thank you for recommending Robert Graves' Goodbye To all That a while ago. It blew my mind and I would never have heard of it otherwise.i shall seek out the Hiroshima text. It's a tremendous book isn't it. I because interested in Graves after reading the Regeneration Trilogy by Pat Barker, v...

Re: Java - Central or East Java spots

Cost wise I think it was about $7k for the wife and myself including flights, transfers, all food and drinks for 10 days. Don't have the exact price because it was my Xmas present from the wife, that's partially why we ended up there, she was seduced by the pool and the all inclusive deal I'm not re...

Re: Java - Central or East Java spots

Hey Jimmy, Just got back from Istana Ombak and got to say it's well worth the trip. Probably do a couple of things different if I went back, mainly around the travel. Door to door from Sydney is about 21 hours which was pretty taxing, especially the last 3 hours in a car over super pot holed roads. ...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

Yeah, all the buttery, blind-stitching etc. etc. sounds great in all these wetties, but I want to see reviews after a couple of seasons. Mate onto my second season with one, not a leak anywhere. I've been pleased with it, only criticism is the neck is cut a little low and you can get the odd flush.

Re: Help looking for a new board

I will chuck in a suggestion which is a JS Prodigy, I'm riding one at the moment in waves up to 4 feet and it's up there with the best boards I've owned.

Re: Shark attack at Mona Vale 11/2/2010

a week ago a bloke fishing at Newport caught a 30+lb kingie off the BEACH. the thing nearly killed him. last seen striding happily up the beach with its colossal head sagging down his back. I reckon Newport Reef is the best spot on the Northern beaches for kingies, it's also where I've picked up a ...

Re: definition of snaking

Yeah the old SUP's can be a problem. I was out at wallywood a couple of weeks ago and as most people would know the take-off area next to the rocks is pretty small to start with, add a single SUP to the mix and your chances of snagging a decent set wave almost disappear. The SUP guy in question is t...

I've got an old 6'6" that never gets used, it's a little brown now but no major dings.
I live at Southy so you can pick it up nearer the time or I can drop it off. Let me know which you would prefer.
