Re: how young is too young to surf?

My eldest has been on mats on the shorey for the last coupla years. She's 6 and last week asked me quietly if she could learn to surf this summer. I never pushed for it but just waited for her to come around.

Re: Mat Chat.

cheers. I've actually got two pairs of Udts (new ones arrived only yesterday) Used the XXLS briefly this winter (spend my wave time on shorter boards mostly) and found them pretty hard work. Maybe partly due to the extreme cold this winter here in Vic. Got some xls which I'm going to debut on sunday...

Re: Mat Chat.

I got some 4gf mats last summer- had a ball. Paul Gross is a fantastic guy to deal with. It took about 4 days to get them posted from the US.
I found it really hard to paddle compared to a board though. this summer i plan on getting the hang of it more

Re: Webber Afterburner

Nice to see you back Buzzy. I thought briefly about the Webber afterburner when looking at new boards earlier this year- very briefly. The made overseas thing really put me off. I went for a grant Miller V Skate instead and couldn't be happier. Not only is the board fantastic (Me 6'5 board 6'8 x 20 ...

Re: bustin down the door

I saw it last week. One of the best surf documentaries I've ever seen. The interviews with Eddie Rothman are pretty chilling and Rabbit talking about his background is quite profound. The final comments by Shaun Thomson, though cryptic to anyone not familiar with what's happened to him in the last c...

perth....do u reckon it's true?

I moved there two years ago and the lack of consistent surf is the worst thing about it. Having said that I've had some great surfs on the reefs south of Cott during winter. Trigg is one of the busiest waves in the country, it only works in summer, only has one decent option and it's really localise...

One California Day

My wife brought me back a copy from the states yesterday as well as a Mandala Quad!! It's beautifully filmed, a little too much longboarding for my tastes and man are those guys so serious about everything. The only humourous moment was Jimmy Gamboa spielin' about the good vibe at Malibu over footag...
