The best fish stew comes from the head and wings of fresh fish. Snapper, barramundi, jewies all work. Blue(threadfin) salmon is off the scale good. Go to the fishmongers to the waste bins and make an offer on the heads and wings. I've got 'em for a song in snapper season when the bins are overflowin...

But the real question is how many from each area i.e. SE Qland, Nth Coast NSW, Sydney, Vic, SA,WA, Tassie etc and how many are still hand shaped? 70% from SE Qland and Byron? 90% machine shaped? all boards seem to be comin off the machine these days....finished by ghosties....signed by shaper/desig...

Unfortunatly we have living in our area one of the internet forcasters (blow-in surf forcaster or BSF as we call him) who was only too happy to stop the Search comp due to it bringing crowds but then sells us out on the internet surf forcast, pictures and all. Car loads of bunnies th is this one of...

If I could pick the ideal board it'd be to my dimensions, with a nice toughepoxy finish, but not for lightness - for durability.

Hey Mark, are you using CCD for your six finners? or PU/PE? Is each material as easy to work with - just interested to know. Clearly a Quadfather with six fins inserted becomes the Tony Soprano model 8) or The Hexabat :!: CDD on the backburner for a while for me, few small issues with my trial boar...
