Re: Where to live

OK fcuk it. Hold everything. I have just received -- in my letterbox no less -- the answer to eMp's dreams. Walana Valley! I bet youse don't know where that is. Well despite the awesome name, it is in fact a precinct of Monga Vale. Just up behind the cemetery in fact, though this is not mentioned i...

Re: Miller F-SKATE for sale

why you selling ??? :?: Last week I picked up a custom version of the same board that's two inches shorter. Why didnt you just shave two inches off the board in the photo? You would have 'custom'ised it and hey presto would not have to sell this one? I will give you $50. If it had been a V Skate I ...

Souled Out at Harbord Diggers

I thought I would drop a quick note. I attended the Souled Out Surf Film Fest at Hardbord Diggers this eve. I will not go into too much detail as not to ruin it for others who are watching over the next few days. I will however touch on part of the film, which is probably a debate that has been touc...

Re: Blue creatures at Curly??????

Yep I saw a heap of them at Freshy the other day. Round, ranging from 10 to 20 cent pieces in diametre with tiny tenticles fanning out around the sides. (they were not long tenticles.) They were not Blueys - although there have been a few of them around too. Oh and sharks - there has been a big one ...

Re: amazing fact about swells

I will look at the Bom, the buoys and a few of the forecasts to see what people and the charts are predicting. I will also get down to the beach and have a little look to see what is happening with my own eyes. I then make a call. If you solely rely on say Swellnet, then pick your board accordingly ...

Dead against it. When trying to solve a problem, it's best not to use the same thinking that got you into trouble in the first place. If the world goes biofuels then you have a market, and if you have a market then you can't stop countries who can't feed their people from using the food they have t...

The great thing about being a humble surfer is that we do not need fuel for a motor Gotta disagree with you there Marine Jacket Spud. I may not need fuel for my tofu corrolla but I sure as F**k want it to hunt waves that are emptier (& better) than my local spots. Most surfers I know are unafraid o...

What goes up must come down. It has been a decade of living like kings for a lot of people who should have never been living like kings. 42 inch plasma's dot the walls and a new shiny car sits in the drive, however the bank balance does not exist and monthly credit payments are huge. Now the wages w...

Layne obviously has her contest named after her (The Beachley Classic) and it was not named after she died or retired etc. I find it strange that you would organise a contest and name it after yourself? Kind of self obsessed..? I know that a stand over sat Brookie has been named after Beaver - but I...

TMC, I disagree. It's actually a lot more complex than you can imagine, which is part of the reason why some of the smartest people in the world are having trouble dealing with the fallout.[/quote] Is that the same 'smartest people in the world' who decided to allow people with no cash to borrow 100...

It's the new homepage design. I have never posted much in the past, but I tended to read everything just to get an idea of the various views of the world out there and also to decide if I thought I had something to offer. Generally I based my decision on which thread to open upon the title, the num...

I used to find any excuse to go for a surf ... now I seem to do the opposite ... I still go, just not as often as I did or would like to ... it's hard being a gump and being the quality of surfer that, in my arrogance, I used to laugh at ... I want to surf like I used to but I know I never will ......
