G'day Trev, had plenty of fun ones at my local. Not crowded too. Bet your spot has been fun.

thanks for your concern everyone!
You can pick up Gath's for a pittance on Gumtree/eBay and Facebook marketplace. Sounds like you could use the Jedi model that comes with the drop down visor.

Re: The Good Luck A Number One McCoy Thread

If you watch any recent videos of Geoff talking about boards you will see age is really catching up on him. Maybe a good part of why he is selling off his collection.

Yeah, been out there a few times myself of late. Fun small wave banks. Normally I'm just kicking around at Gerry's or the corner if its breaking.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yeah Steve. It was a fun day. The banks there are pretty good and seem to keep on keeping on. Maybe something to do with all the sand pumping they've been doing on and off over the last year or so. Anything up to shoulder/ head high works great. Mid week of course. 😃 Sand pumping filled up the corn...

Re: Another New Toy

I was visiting Agnes waters during the week. Have only been there once back in the mid 80's when it was 4wd friendly road from Miriam vale into Agnes. Went there to catch a cyclone swell and it poured rain the entire weekend and can only remember the caravan park and the point. So on this visit I'm ...

Seriously impressed with the chargers at Deadman's. Fugg that shit!
I was on the Manly ferry Monday morning for a cruisey ride when heading to Brookvale with my boy. Calm before the storm.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

If I was going to buy a mal and wanted epoxy I'd buy a Sunova over a Tolhurst due to the robust construction of the Sunova vs the Tolhurst and I'd be confident in the shapes would perform. Been riding an 8' 8ball I bought from Freshiedude (who may chime in as he has some Sunova longboards) and it is...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Beanpole, that's a Tolhurst for sure.
Tried surfing one of the 7'2"s in that tech (lightning) and it didn't paddle across the flats well or catch waves easily at all. Once up and riding it felt nice and loose but the poor paddling/wave catching left me non-plussed. Never tried any of the longboards.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

A little further Nth of Trev the banks have not liked the straight swells for the last 2 weeks. The Brisso invansion has ramped up into full force over the weekend too.
Would be good to see some decent size again.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Today's Sunshine coast surf report: 8/10. "Cracking waves today with 3- 5 ft waves and its coming in from the ENE - East direction so everywhere is getting some swell... clean and glassy all morning with light west breezes and a bit of NW now , but still so many great waves on offer...the lower tide...
