Sorry i meant the mini-simmonds are better suited to Sydney. Kind of fun in beachies, more so then proper hulls.steve shearer wrote:what: the mini-sims or the hulls?

Re: Mini Simmons
I was staying with his father, Mark while overseas. I think that is where Daniel would get his theories from, clearly they are onto something. Whether or not people accept them, they are hell bent on their ideas which i dont think is a bad thing. His fathers surf mat is pretty insane. Super fast, su...

Re: Mini Simmons
http://surf-knot.blogspot.com/ I had no real care or desire to ride these boards until recently. I was in Japan and we all had no logs with us- only option were Tyler's Mini Simmonds quiver. Keep in mind these were highly tuned planks of foam- refined in the right places. They went well, given we d...

bloody oath they are smart business people. for me as a marketing student, they showcase a great example of the perfect marketing plan...but thats it! hate their boards, hate they`re slogans, almost hate surf shop owners for letting them in (but the marketing is so good in the magazines and internet...

Re: Stoked
I loved the book, i could not put it down once i got past the clubbie bits. Epic stuff but i was reading it in some pretty knowledgable company during a recent trip away...where conversations about particular incidents ended up in the old nick name 'Bob Mcbullshit' other than some slight queries, it...

Re: Displacement hull boards
Gday mate I ride them, not much though. You need 1-4 feet walls, not to hollow and not to fat. Very perculiar feeling, not for everyone. you can slash, but mostly it requires doing nothing but riding high, low and tight in the pocket. If you don't like that you will hate hulls Sea Biscuit 6'9" and b...

Hi Beanpole
The O/S range is suited to East Coast waves. Made by Brandon Mcdonald but produced overseas.

These guys have a complete range in store at MOna Vale and Avalon, and other shops up the coast have them too as you saw.

Re: Next board ?
Better to make an effort now than keep getting thicker and bigger boards to compensate. Just realised, i have not put on weight for around 3-4 years (68kgs) nor grown significantly. But i am increasingly riding longer and even heavier logs. Same with shortys, im creeping up in length. maybe im draw...

Fantastic stuff.
In France last year it was the norm for some of the locals to bottom turn or 'cut back' into a serial drop in offender or an annoying surfer.
but more often then not thery seem to miss narrowley.
This is sick.
Im sure the the kook who dropped in will think next time..if he can

. But I could watch someone like John Gill freesurfing all day. Likewise. Its a complete uphill battle this trad vs high performance. Ive been passionate about it for the last 9 years, just dont care anymore. Surfed in contests around the world, its the same shite everywhere. At the end of the day ...

CJs surfing in NZ is obviosly timeless, seeing as its like 6 year old footage!

Re: The Present
I didnt enjoy it.
Didnt feel like a t-moe movie for me. Tried to impress to many people this time. The seedling was raw and ahead of its time.
Although the opening section was insane, but can someone tell me why all the shortboarders were quiksilver team riders, coincidence or funded???
