Re: Ask Carroll
Several times in these, how shall we say it, Last Days of Chez Carroll, you've alluded to thorny or controversial topics, but steered away from committing to a firm opinion on them. Examples: Sexism in surfing. Power Balance bracelets. A fully Candid memoir . If you do feel like ending on a controv...

Re: Ask Carroll
Hey Nick, Thanks for answering my questions as well as everyone elses. Like many have said before me, your wisdom and input to the board and to our 'sport' of surfing is much appreciated. Few more if you're keen: * Name your top 5 favourite tuberiders * Name your top 5 favourite 'style' surfers * Po...

Re: Ask Carroll
Hi Nick, Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with us. In the past you've also been gracious enough to answer pm's regarding board design and technique qs and for that i am also thankful. My questions: 1. South of Botany Bay and north of Bundeena lies a choice left that ...

Re: Trestles ryhmes with Nestles.
I don;t know if it's just me, but does anyone else find Owen Wrights waves in this Video amazing? I will grant you the cutty was very limp wristed, but the fact he is trying those sorts of airs in quarters seems pretty ridiculous, and the last turn wasn't too soft either... Its not just you. Owen W...

Re: Trestles ryhmes with Nestles.
Can anyone explain what went down between Fanning and Slater? Fanning seemed pretty bummed by it, but trying to work it out from Sunday night news coverage was a waste of time. Good explanation in the 'full story' featured on Surfline: http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/kelly-slater-wins-hurley-pro-...

Re: Trestles ryhmes with Nestles.
bugger, didnt see it live but got the highlights replay, never quite the same...what was KS talking about when he thanked Davo 4 something ? Davo didn't turn up for a heat against Kelly in the quarters. Real shame he went walkabout because he was killing it in previous heats. I think Kelly is going...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Anyway, Dave at Jackson is a ding magician... it'll probably look brand new again by the end of the week. Hey Jet, When i was living in the shire I'd get my boards fixed by a guy called Grant. Lives not far from the Jackson shop (Caringbah/Taren Point). Very good ding guy who used to work for a lot...

Re: Quadfather Project Board....
All this talk of Mark's boards doing the rounds on the Sunny coast while I'm not there is killing me  Fwiw Mark, the Quadfather looks sweet and the feedback is backing it up... You might have to get Cain off the paint and Poscas and give him a planer instead: I reckon you'll be getting a few mo...

Last time i tried to get in there i only made down the first hill and got stuck for an hour and a half! would of been a heap easier if i wasn't in a shitty old Kijang with bald tyres and half an exhaust that sounded like a gun going off every ti...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Currently in Jakarta but have just spent the last 3 weeks surfing around Bali and Lombok :D Bit of a wake-up call after being out of the water for 8 months but it only takes a few surfs to get it back again (well kind-of... without the paddling fitness as well lol). Never got any 'massive' days but ...
