Re: Who should make my next board?

why would you think of getting a getting a 2+1? seems odd. Is it that your 6'8 is a 2+1?, or do you want to develop a more refined bottom turn? or did you ride a mal that was a 2+1? sounds to me like you really want is a board that has the right volume but is still pretty forgiving. just ring rabbid...

BURN THE MAD MONK

I have seen Tony Abbott in the surf a few times at North Steyne and generally ignored him. But now he has risen to the rank of leader of the Coalition of the Unwilling I feel an overwhelming obligation, as all Australians should, to burn him at every available opportunity.

Re: Tufflite best as a mal?

I have owned tufflite shortboards and ridden borrowed tufflite mals. the shortboards were tuff and lite. the mals were better and because of their lightnes cold be whipped around a bit more than a heavy mal. but, I prefer PU and would not buy another tufflite. I would recommend them for people who o...

Re: Stylish Single Fin Surfer - is it the board?

check this from the burleigh single fin classic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO4ObU9n1jo&feature=related i am reliably informed that those guys you see in the vid were all really really average surfers when riding their thrusters, but on their 1980's single fins it must be admitted that they look...

Re: Stylish Single Fin Surfer - is it the board?

no doubt a single fin is good for reminding you how to draw a proper bottom turn. do you need to be reminded how to do a bottom turn? the single fin rewards the good bottom turn and the fade. old grom sounds like he is going to make the leap. for sure he'll enjoy it for novelty value, and if you are...

Re: Stylish Single Fin Surfer - is it the board?

don't do it. don't you remember when you got your first thruster? didn't you think "bejesus, I'll never ride another single fin again"? why do it now?
