Re: Coconut Spray; The Niugini Experience
... Surfed Nago left by myself one arvo got about 15 waves in 45mins. Would love to see this wave with a bit of size on it. Borrowed a 7’2 single fin egg from the resort and had a bit of fun cruising around on the fat outside section before grabbing a rail on the more bowly inside section. Can’t wa...

Re: Cocunut Spray; The Niugini Experience
You can't really leave the resort, as it is on a small island, except with the resort manager and guides. One day towards the end of our stay (10 days) it was small and some went touring the WWII relics and also went to market day over on Kavieng. I was going to go but it started to get too hot so I...

Re: Ribs, how long?
I cracked a couple of ribs a while back now. Left the beach in an ambulance. I had to walk about 800m back to the car park, the last 100m was shaky. I was going to drive myself but when I needed help to put my board in my car and then found bending over to get into the car was far too painful I had ...

Re: Josh Dowling Designs
Yes a sad day when a maestro like Josh has to pull up stumps due to health. Because of this thread I ordered 2 boards and couldn't be more chuffed with them. I wished I had more.Legion wrote:Timely post, given Josh just quit shaping.

Re: Step Up Volume
In 84 I surfed from Playa Rosarito up to SF. I can't say I surfed every beach but got to a few. SB along the cliffs there can get good with a bit of swell and that bank off the harbour wall is insane. San Onofre, think trestles and if you have any friends who are Marines surf the uncrowded waves alo...

If you are in Sydney go and see Dr Lawrence Kohan or Dr Michael Neil. Kohan did a resurfacing of my hip in 2011 and it has been superb ever since. Though of course either one will make sure whether you need one first. I used the supplements Sunstroke mentioned above and they help alleviate the infla...

Re: Arthritis - Big Toe
A nasty cut on your foot will affect your surfing (usually adversely) as the pain will make you do and avoid things to protect it and stop the pain. I had arthritis in my right hip for years. Though I did things, first I had a high femoral osteotomy where they sever the femur just near the head and ...

Re: Josh Dowling Designs
Looks like a wakeboard, and i mean that in a good way. Try some lower profile fins in it. I've got something a bit similar 5'6x20.5" and it is amazing how much you can jam the turns. Strong enough to be used as a wakeboard or kiteboard I reckon with a layer of innegra on the deck skin. May even do ...

You should get the April Tracks issue. Istana Ombak Eco Resort features in it (in an article called "The Wave Palace") and it comes with a video of the waves being surfed by Dimiti Stoyle and a couple of young guys. It looks like a fun set up and an easyish wave to surf - well they make it look easy...
