cant blame em for trying to make a buck...and hopefully enough earn enough bucks to travel and widen their horizons and perhaps gain even more perspective. i've certainly benefitted from surf guides (working for other people) great for knowing when the sets are coming... for sure the kids will surf ...

i would take your everyday DP's*, that should suffice for most situations that you will encounter. Plus take a flash pair of HPDP's for when you need to dress to impress.

I once got harassed (or in light of recent media reports - is the correct adjective 'molested') by a clubby for bodysurfing OUTSIDE the flags (and by OUTSIDE i mean 500m down the beach so as to differentiate myself from the seething froth of humanity).
