Re: Gibber's compsand build thread.
Haven't been doing a lot of boards lately, with a few health issues and other stuff going on. But just finished this one. It's a pretty standard 5'11" HP. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn286/Tiges_album/grant%20deck%20_zpsgtqcjlvz.jpg http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn286/Tiges_album/grant%2...

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over
Thanks guy's, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Stevo, I just plonked that centre fin in for the pics. The box slot starts at 5" from the tip of the diamond tail, with recommendations that the rear fin is set 5 1/4" from the tail. I couldn't really sneak the box back any further due to tail t...

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over
Finally got around to starting the bonzer order. Went for a reasonably contemporary shape, just with the wide point pushed 3" forward of center. 6'5" x 20" x 2 1/2". Did a bit of tint work, which I've never really done much of. Came out alright, looks a lot better in the flesh than in the pics. http...

Looks impressive. Forecasted to remain very stationery too, is that odd at such latitude?

Re: Gibber's compsand build thread.
The tails on those boards are actually more round/thumb tail. The pic kinda has distorted it because you can't pickup the tail block as its a darker colour.
I don't think I've ever ridden a square tailed quad.

Re: Gibber's compsand build thread.
Thanks guys. Hey digger, how are you mate? Hope you're enjoying your travels. I haven't done anything with cork yet, but will give it a go at some stage. I'm going to make my daughter a little board, and use cork rails on it. I'll maybe do a deck at some stage too, but think they look a bit ugly. He...

Re: Gibber's compsand build thread.
And rmb if you're still out there, (it's only been 2 1/2 yrs since your post). I've put vents in a few that have had a lot of volume, but generally don't bother on more regular boards of say less then 35 litres. Had no probs yet, just tell people to make sure they don't leave them baking in the sun....

Re: Fantasy surfer comp
Hard to pick a team until you really know what they are gunna run in. Maxing main break, in between main break, or maybe nth point. Should be an entertaining comp regardless.
