As much as I want body boarding to grow for the sake of the companies and individuals which have invested so much into the sport and also raising the public opinion of body boarding, there's still a big part of me that wants body boarding to remain for those only who truly love the sport. That said ...

I like both pretty much equally and I don't buy into that 'riptide's for kids' stuff, as far as I'm concerned they are both aimed at a broad age group.

I personally prefer Riptide, Movement to me just seems like it's trying to hard to be the more mature/arty mag. But that's probably just me.

That's insane, that blokes definitely got a story to tell!

Shots like that almost make me feel slightly less scared by sharks, as it reminds me that not every shark is necessarily going to gun it for you if it sees you.

Any watercraft design is certainly a complex undertaking and I doubt any of us could simply prove why that particular design is any faster than normal rails without doing some form of flow simulation. Yeah maxx, you're right, drag is related to the surface area facing the direction of the flow. But ...

Living in south oz I can't count the amount of times i've rocked up to a secluded reef break breaking perfectly during those calm overcast days only to see no one out and a long paddle ahead of me. There has been many instances I've turned down surfing a break due to the fact that it looks just too ...

New Board

My bro is thinking of picking up a new board soon and I've been trying to help him source something decent. He's not really willing to go all out as he doesn't surf that much, so I'm pushing him towards getting a HB Virtue 07 Icon. The reasons being is it's on sale for $295 and it seems like a sick ...

yeah I never thought of doing that, but I always really thought that the reason i can do forward spins is because you're using the flow of the water to help you round on a forward. I'll give it a shot.

Re: Reverse Spins

Well i sort of did a reverse 180 yesterday, so I'm starting to get some sort of an idea how to do them.
martyy wrote:u can roll and invert, but u cant reverse ? :?
Yeah rolls were the first move I learnt, and believe me, inverts aren't that difficult to do at Knights.

Reverse Spins

Seriously, how the fuck do you do them! I've been bodyboarding for a fair while now and the only moves i can pull are rolls, forward spins and inverts. But reverse spins seem to stump me, which is really frustrating me as they look good and look fun. So anyone feel like sharing some hints on how the...
