stoive, It must be me. I hate wetsuits. But as I recall it took me about 10 minutes to get out at Lennox on the day in question.

I envy you not feeling any drag in a suit.

The Hardest Paddle Outs i've ever known are

1. Lennox at 8ft in winter wearing a 2/3 steamer

2. Burleigh from the cove at 6 to 8ft - even with just boardies on, the sweep and the power of burls unloading top to bottom in less than a metre of water is mindblowing.

Littering is the crime. If the way to stop 3000 buts from being left behind is to ban smoking at the beach then so be it. Or smokers should carry their own ashtray's like they do in Japan.

I surf on the sunshine coast most days. I wear a longsleeve rashie or 1mm and boardies. I have not worn my spring suit yet this year. Noosa (the points) are really good waves but crowded if it does get good. If your based at Noosa, get a car and check out Pitta Street at Perigian Beach, Sunshine, A-...

Now is the time for the ASP to reach out to the Car, FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods Manufactures) and other aligned product makers for sponsorship. Remember when Japan used to be the Marui Pro.

I just ignore anyone who goes off in the water for no reason and stick to my guns. It's easy you smile and say thanks have great surf then move on with what your doing. Don't let another persons problems into your own space. Works every time.

I surfed newport peak maybe 10 times and I reckon its exactly like backdoor and pipe. Of course I was totally spent on datura at the time, which made the locals look like the da hui. Fred Hemmings was right to back down and see the light.

As Nick pointed out the ASP has a strong hold on the tour agenda and who participates or sponsors each event under licence. This is similar maybe to F1 or Golf where a majority of the sponsors are aligned within a market segment and have similar fundamental core objectives. As such ASP is in a quasi...
