Hey there Ol'girl, Shame you're not on Sydney's northern beaches. I've just hooked up with a couple of other mum's for a regular Sunday morning session while the Dad's look after the bub's. Would have been great for you to join us as it's always good fun. Hope you find someone to head out with....! ...

But have planned to meet Bindi next weekend - the first for both of us for a looooonnnnng time. Maybe you should try to get out next w'end too and we can all have a laugh ab...

Surfing Buddy Required - of the female persuasion

Here's the thing.......... despite what others have told me, surfing is NOT like riding a bike / falling off a log etc etc A few months back I had my first little bubs, and ever since I've been chomping at the bit to get back into the water. However, after a couple of dodgy starts I've decided that ...

Wow - how time flies in nappy-land. I'm five weeks into my paid-up membership into the parents club, and stoked to be on board. My birth experience was almost the total opposite to your Morts. Without grossing the non-Mum's out and putting them off totally, let's just say there was a lot of pain, bl...

A HUGE congrats Morts. I've been checking in regularly hoping to hear some news so it's made my night .... Sounds like it all went swimmingly and the end result was a beautiful wee princess. I bet you're kinda pleased she was a little-un and all is in tact if you know what I mean. Certainly the resu...

hey there Morts, Good to hear you are at home now and getting some time to relax. Unfortunately it also sounds like you are getting some time to worry! Strangely enough I've been relatively unconcerned about the health of mine, probably because she's such an active wee thing I can't imagine her comi...

geeze, seems like there's a bit of a preggy fad going on at the moment. Mary (of the princess variety), Britney, Bec, Jenifer - seems like everytime ya open a mag someone else has done the deed. Walk down Manly beach and you need to take your shoes and sox off to count them all. Are we having a mini...

I looked into the cord thing as well (the hospital I'm going to obviously is one of the three hospitals involved) and found out it costs something like $4k initially, then an annual fee or something crazy like that. I was only just getting over the shock that it was going to cost me $5k+ to have the...

Hey there Morty. Great to hear ya update. Sorry to hear that your not feeling on top of your game. Isn't it amazing how this whole deal is soooo different for everyone - afterall our bodies are essentially doing the same thing! I'm 17 weeks tomorrow. The pot is definitely out and depending on what I...

Well........... it's happened. The Doc has put an end to the Byron odyssey by saying (in front of Dad-to-be unfortunately) that surfing isn't a good idea for dem's in the family way. gutted. I'm now confined to 10 days WATCHING the surf. boooooo Maybe time to get me a bogger and some fins. Other tha...

Hey there Morty, Well I say a massive congrats for surfing up until now! And also possibly a good move to know when it's time to give it a rest for a bit. I'm heading up to Byron at the end of the month and am hoping to sneek in a few waves - which if I do will be the first of my pregnancy. I've bee...

Hey Morty, a big congrats on the bubs. I'm also preggers but only 8 weeks so shhhhhh. Geeze I was jealous reading your post. I've felt pretty yuck for the last 5-6 weeks so haven't felt up to getting out on the water. And unfortuantely I'm also inflicted with an overly cautious and worried Dad-to-be...

geeeze you're a brave man suggesting that!

I'm VERY high maintenance - ie need lots of tender encouragement and coaching! In the surf I mean (just a learner(ish) you see......) I'm exceptionally prone to the ole board in the head so tend to chicken out a bit.

I'm better in the snow tho.....

gezzz Buzzy, I've got the opposite problem...... can't get the bf outta bed for the early - and he's the one who got me into surfing!! we both snowboard too...... same problem exists. he's happy to stump up at 10am so he get's his 'beauty' sleep, while I'd rather be up there first in line when the l...
